Thank You all ladies and gents .. we made this video as a joke and a way to make everyone laugh. I appreciate all the love an hate lol hope y'all keep enjoying this video!!
Some of us have had this done to us very badly and don’t find this funny at all. Did you teach the chick who found my nerve that day? Let’s be serious...
I had my 40 hour certificate in one day and can’t wait to find a job with it. I’m so over retail and want to become a physician in the future so can’t wait to have my first medical job as a phlebotomist 🙌🏻🥰
This video is awesome. Made it fun, and took the creepy out of drawing blood. Super cute video, made it clear on what to expect, informative. Kept me totally engaged and makes me want to do it even more.
My instructor showed us this video in class last week and she nearly died laughing at the explanations patients give for their veins because she gets the same ones at work everyday. Thanks for the laugh.
This was the first video I watched when i was to figure out what i wanted to do. Now I'm a certified phlebotomist just because of this video. Thank You.
Aloha!! The video is absolutely HILAROUSNESS!!!!! but this video has been VERY informative to me as I am currently taking a Phlebotomy course, I had to skip out my last 3rd Written test Not the National Certification, we haven't been scheduled yet for that...but long story short, I am cramming to study as much as possible and I am the type of learner that I have to read and have visuals...I don't know how I EVER made it through most of my schooling being this way...I am excited to get certified and will continue for the rest of this day watching what videos you have posted...Thank you!!! BLUE RED GREEN PURPLE Have a great day!!!!
I'm a newly certified CPT, just achieved my certification in March of this year. I was introduced to phlebotomy working in a plasma center working with 17 gauge needles, and transitioned really well using a 21-gauge butterflies. Not to mention doing what seemed like an endless amount of sticks in a 10 hour day! I love what I do, I love working with people and doing sticks. I think the most fun part is palpating those veins and searching for that right one! It's very satisfying to perform phlebotomy on a patient. :) I just never had any fun learning the order of draw. lol Funny vid! I loved it!
Juggalo972 how did you learn to palpate the vein? and get the right one...we young graduate nurses here dont get phlebotomy course....we have to learn the hard way.. 😢
Hey! I'm a nurse aide looking into phlebotomy programs. Some are 3 days, some 1 month, and at the community college an entire semester. How long was ur program? Did ya feel prepared?
I'm an Allied Health Program Director and Phlebotomy instructor. I show this video as often as I can....i have it memorized. LOL! You all are so much fun! Have you shot any other lab videos?
DAMMIT PAUL! I told you to invert the tubes!!!!! Now we are getting schooled by Gregory Beach!!! Gregory Beach seems to be the only one that thinks your not hot. LMAO!
Was required to watch 2 phlebotomy videos for MLT internship.I was ROFL!! You guys are just too hilarious!! It was refreshing--and you got almost all the important STUFF in!! Thank you a million times--MORE MORE MORE VIDEOS!!
I teach at an accredited college and I use this video all the time! I love the humor in it! yes there are a couple small errors but that can be used for teaching too! Humor keeps students attention!
Well hello! LOL! I've been drawing blood probably since you guys were born, and no worries - I'm not going to tell you how to draw blood. Just wanted to say that my favorite part was the guy in the chair listing all his problems before his blood draw. Made me laugh! Those are universal, for sure. Loved all of it really. I'd just like to work with you! You guys are fun. :) Loved the satire.
it very low pay, its $27 an hour as a casual and full time/part time is around 23-25 an hour, that's in Australia. and with out penalty rates it comes to about 40,000 a year.
I just finish my phlebotomy training and I'm ready to put my skills to work. I really love your video Paul you did a great job! you got great skills and hilarious at the same time. you make people want to learn
I love this!!! I miss being a phelbotomist! The pay was never the greatest though! Great first medical job! Now, personally pediatric nurse practitioner!
Well done, levity included... I just passed my course finals and am working towards finishing my required draws so I can sit for the national certification exam. Venipunctures are usually no issue (lately I've been having a little trouble), butterflies are just annoying but I'm getting by. I just have difficulty getting veins to stop rolling without having to really press down on the skin. Any advice?
I believe the title is well suited! I was browsing youtube videos as refreshers for phlebotomy and ran across this video. Absolutely great! You guys are too funny!
I could watch your video(s) thirty hours per day...off the charts excellent! Wished I could work with people like you. A career change beckons...Well right down to the music, it's bass-heavy, just what I like and aside from all of your phlebotomy expertise I hasten to add you are in the wrong business-too entertaining! Suffice it to say, I love your presentation technique. KEEP THEM COMING! You will make a difference and truly, make the world a better place. Wishing you huge success! Steve (o:
This video I probably the best I've seen yet! Most videos are just super boring. But because you can tell he actually enjoys his job and what he is doing and has a fun time with it, it was much more fun to watch.
Thanks this was fun and useful you make it seem a piece of cake I am a bit worried about the 95 years old on blood thinners or the aggressive patient or just the patient "impossible to get a vein on/everybody tried/ fail and bruised" a 25 athlete is the best 1/100 patients you can drop blood from....thanks again
Hello! Phlebotomy instructor here, and I show this video every time I teach a new phlebotomy course. Why? Because A. the information here is all 100% accurate, and B. it's hysterical! My students always have a blast watching this video and we get such a good laugh while learning. I especially love the portion about what patients say about their veins, that is SO on point! Kudos, gentlemen, I love it!
You nutters. Love it. I really wanna do this. Thank you for my training but one question.......Where were your labels for your patient's tubes?? You'll have to re-film this exactly as you did, music included but..... add the tube labelling :D
Man, I keep joking around that I'm going to move up to Alaska one of these days and put my medical assisting/phlebotomy skills to use. If it's in demand up there, maybe I should give it serious consideration. LOL. Good job by the way. ^^
I'm Obsessed with this video!! I started my Phlebotomy career at the Anchorage Career Academy in Anchorage, Ak, 2002 and have never stopped. It this filmed in Soldotna, Ak? Thanks for the laugh!!

Alcohol wipes should be wiped in circular motions from the center outwards, then it should be air dried.
He should have anchored the vein.
He also should have inverted the tubes while he waited for the next tube to fill up. He should have also leave the tourniquet on no longer than one minute.
good job, you want a cookie?
It was all just a joke. I’m sure between filming they took proper sanitary precautions 😀
Technically the tourniquet can be left on for up to a max of 3mins. Not desirable, of course. Doing your nationals however, they do say only 1min
Omg I'm lmao!!!!
