Paul another great video
The merch is great quality!
Hey guys I wanna buy a fitted hat but I have no clue what size to buy. What size does Paul wear in this video? His head is about the same size my old melon is so if it fits him I’m sure it’ll fit me.
Get a tape measure and wrap it around your head just above your eyebrows. Google hat size for that measurement.

The resemblance is definitely there in Papa Dar's son!
Get Michelle some steel toe flip flops if you're going to put her to work.
😴😴
I prefer high heel sneakers with steel toes. 😊
"I get it within 5 thousandths and we'll call it good"......"I got it within 9 thousandths and that's good enough." I can totally relate.
I'm just waiting for that Landcruiser love.
seriously loving all of these uploads . feels like every other day there's a new video
Think they run the same schedule as morr videos
Wed,fri,sun
I love that she hangs out in the shop with you, you guys are couple goals for real. I dint have a lathe, so when I build my drive shafts I use angle iron and big c clamps lol
I use the local drive sft shop when I build drive shafts. Lol
I lack the tools and skill to do otherwise!
Funny thing, I watch a lot of custom car and truck builds on other channels but don't look forward to them as much as I do with this one. I guess I'm just excited for Landon as I remember what it was like with my first car.
Papa Dar's son is a spitting image of his old man!
As much as I enjoy Matt's recoveries and builds I find I'm really enjoying watching Paul and his family on your videos. Any video with Michelle in it is always a bonus, she cracks me up.
Hey Michelle !! Your shop skills are getting SHARP.. you GO GIRL !!
What a coincidence meeting you at Archie's! Definitely a highlight of our trip. And yea you guys got some rain with a light some for sure!!! Guna check out your merchandise. Archie's will be a for sure stop next time we're in town. Take care.
It's some seriously good grub!
We were the group that drove from California just to get fab rat stickers! Winning!!!
Michelle saying "let's put this together". Awesome to have a wife who is handy and willing to help get stuff done.
Good to see Glendale folks drive around in the rain like Hurricane folks.
Man what a storm I enjoyed seeing all that rushing water I hope everyone's property and homes were ok I also enjoyed seeing you both working in the shop you were funny I hope your hand is healing well .
This is the OG video that cought my attention with the rain, especially the river footage adjacent to your property! Were in process of rebuilding our shop and looking forward for future content to come. Keep on truckin 🙏🙏
You're very lucky to have a wife that helps you in the shop and that you have a wonderful family. You're a great dad
I don't know why it makes me so happy when he says great things about Michelle. It does though.
I know why, Michelle deserves them compliments, and there’s too much complaining in our world!
@@PhilipAnderson I think you're right. And too many people take their spouse for granted and never say a nice thing at all.
@@PatrickPoet I really appreciate my wife of 10 years, God made humans to have good relationships with Him and each other.
Nothing is more important than love, many talk of it, few understand it.
God is love. Divine Love created all things!
Michelle is a rarity. She actually understands and appreciates her husband rather than expecting him to change to fit her ideology. Why would he ever have anything bad to say about that.
@@Rattlerjake1 just about every couple I know that's been together any length of time are like that with each other. It isn't exactly rare.
Also I randomly clicked this because I wondered about the lathe. So sweet to see it in the right hands making stuff.
That was awesome love how Paul makes things look so easy also how he is also passing on his knowledge to his kids hope you stayed safe from rising water
OMG!! I thought that was PapaDar with a new haircut! That hair stuff really works.
LOL! KEEPS for the win!
Instead of the wig, swap papa Dar's son in for the "After". Lol
Great video work Michelle! The flood coverage was better than the major TV news station coverage. It is so awesome to see you working together as a family. I really like the fact that every video you do has unique content and the editing is getting very good with the just right amount background music. The Town of Glendale is fortunate to have you guys. Please keep the home grown format and content.
Wow. Looks like you weathered the storm. Praying everyone you know is ok. Thanks for your videos. Just wheeled the west side of the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway in Kentucky. Used my 2017 Power Wagon's Warn winch to get us out of a deep mud pit. Used it and a bottle jack to get off a stump. Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx did awesome. Then a Jeep guide, Sam Justice and his friend Chad showed up and gave us GREAT spotter help. We thanked him $. GOD IS GOOD! He said I was the only full sized truck he has seen in these parts. It was tight, rocky and a few flexy areas. A little trail damage: rear bumper driver side lifted 1/2 inch, scratches passenger side. Worth it!
When I was young we live in a community like yours where everybody knew everybody. Then when I got older I move 2 Towns closer to the city which was still a small town but in the last 20 years all they've been doing is building and developing now nobody knows anybody.
small towns are good and bad sometimes
It's really Kool that Michelle is hanging out with you in the Shop with you FabRats
Much love from New Mexico just want to thank you for sharing your family with the rest of America🖖
Ther is indeed, much love from New Mexico! I knew I wasn't the only one!
Thank you for watching!!
Also, from Mississippi
@@hankl.biermanii5620 definitely make a crappy day into a outstanding night love their videos
After watching this episode I had to go back and watch the episode where you acquire the lathe. Great content in your video's and love the family dynamic!
Ice project with the boys and Michelle. I enjoy watching you two work together.
I wish more boys had a dad like you. These kids need to do things and learn from good mentors. Love it
You hit that one dead on the head of the nail👍
What!?! $100,000+ Harvard degree doesn't teach this?!? I'm Appalled!!
back to the build!.... send some rain to B.C. THANKS! and Vancouver Island!... rain city!... WOW!... good eye Paul on u joint! good job!... Michelle's got gun's!...
thanks 4 video. be kind.
another master class, watched by thousands, I am surprised that a tech, school has not sought out Paul as an instructor
Nah they're too exclusive. If Paul doesn't have a degree, they'd never hire him. That would be like admitting you can be successful without a degree, which would cut into their bottom line. (this is under the assumption that Paul doesn't have a degree; I have no idea, so he might)
Hope that no one was injured in the flooding!
We had that issue here in VA and have received no assistance from anyone in getting the ditches alongside the road cleaned.
The state and county have done nothing to get the creek cleaned out as well.
Thanks for giving us a small tour of your town!
Really love the hard toe safety sandals that Michelle is using!
Keep up the good work and be safe!
"measure once, cut it twice and it's still too short", one of my favorite sayings.. lol
It’s called a “gully washer”!
Michelle is definitely the beauty to Paul's beast. Stay safe HWY 89 Crew.
That's one lucky boy! His dad building him a custom wheeler and it's gonna be sweet!
I think this and Matt's site are the only ones that I hit the thumbs up at the beginning of the video's. Everyone is very informative and interesting.
We desperately need rain. Just not all at once. How true your words are. God bless.
17:16 looks like the perfect Mt. Dew holder.
First it is dry and your wishing for rain! Then you get more than you know what to do with it! Landon's truck is coming together slowly! That's a neat shop chair!
I love watching your channel. Your whole family working together is refreshing to see. I always learn something too which is a very big positive. Today it was the part where you talked about why the front driveshaft was welded incorrectly from the factory. I've never really understood drive lines anyway, but you make it so simple for me to understand. Thanks for all you do on your channel. Michelle flex those muscles! I know for a fact that those lathes are heavy, and she is not your average wife who doesn't even go into the shop. She'll jump right in and get her Fab Rats shirt dirty lol.!
"Or you make it tougher than it really is" haha😁
It is great that you are going out to check on you neighbors!
Say, Paul, I love that old lathe - the exposed gears are the best part!
I learned machining at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory back in the 1970’s.
It was amazing the quantity of big old machine tools that they ran from WWII era.
Big old milling machines, lathes, band saws, cut off saws and on and on.
That lab has a group of old guys who rebuild these machines, scrape the ways, and keep the old equipment running. It’s amazing the chips you can make with a good old machine and some fresh carbide inserts in your tool holders!
You still make it look easy, I admire that, and miss having a fab shop like you are blessed with!
Lando's lookin good at welding....Michelle needs a rematch with that lathe !!.... I bet she could do it !!...I'm amazed at the technical knowledge the old man has
You are a great Mechanic And you can tell that your sons respect you and their mother
The mayor looks just like his dad, (Papa Dar) and Graders doing what he enjoy's, raiding the frig. Nice video, especially the rains and shop activities. Michelle holding it all down!
Getting close, good job all around.
Thanks Paul, for bringing us along on these fabrication builds, I feel like I am right there with you learning as we go. Lance is one lucky dude to have such a talented father. Great video Michelle.
Paul I remember your face when you got the lathe set up n the shop. It’s great to see how you are working the “old horse. “. They are so much better
Made than today’s lathes.
I could watch this series all day! Seems like you always drop on my day off! Haha
Just wanted to say how much I love watching you guys. Paul’s skill in the shop and Michelle’s silly sense of humor! You guys are the coolest
Paul you are absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gotta love desert rain after a drought.
Build is coming along nice
👍🇺🇸🇦🇺👍
I had an uncle that worked at ford his whole life as a mechanic, and when he got home he worked in his 1-1/2 car garage on his race cars. I never saw my cousin working with him. So it’s good to see you teaching your kids what you do. If they know how to make things they will always have options. Great channel Fab Rars family.
Wow that river is getting a little close for comfort. 👀 Good work on the lathe👍👍👍❤️
That viper chair looks like a great base for a model rocket 🚀 launch pad
Holy crap that's a lot of flash flooding...what a mess!
Love those technical terms: This, that, and the other thing. Pretty much my nomenclature system as well!
Hey Paul !! Great job with the drive lines !! Looking better each time you video !! Hope the rain didn't wash out the town or your business !!! Have a great week & ""KEEP IT SAFE ""!!!
Man Paul, you got a great shop with the ability to build and repair anything and a great wife by your side ( and kids) You and your family are blessed❤️
Hey you got the horns!! I thought they would be louder. Well for a teen ager it will work. Have Paul wire both of them in series. Have fun. Enjoy the channel. Ogden loves the Fabrats. Be on the lookout.
They were pretty loud! Thanks so much! Landon loves them!
What brand/ model are they, nail? I like the tone.
Driveshafts need a coat of black paint and a Fab Rats sticker! Continually impressed with the work you guys are doing. Your son will cherish these times when he’s older, glad he’ll have videos to look back at!
woo hoo I'd be boating in that creek right now!!!! I have one in my yard as well!!!! We just got a massive hail storm that clogged culverts and backed streets up!!! Thanks for sharing!
“Don’t catch anything on fire”. Words to live by.
That is going to be great rig for your son hope nobody was hurt during heavy rain
We had a 100 years storm like that a few years ago. "Your storm reminds me of that, good luck and hop you get the chance to have a swim. :)
My Great Great Grandfather Peter Maughan settled Cache valley and built the first Fort which was called Maughansville but was later renamed Wellsville. Maughan was a Pioneer.
LOOKING GOOD EVERYONE!
I LIVE IN FLOOD COUNTRY, 3-4 TIMES A YEAR MY YARD LOOKS LIKE THAT, IMLOVE THAT LATHE, ITS DANGER INCORPERATED, SHOULD BE IN MY SHOP, LOL
Drive shaft tubing, $150, new U joints, $50.....making Michelle adjust the 100 year old lathe, priceless!!! You two in the shop together is a beautiful thing!
I really enjoy the show! Don't wash away. I am glad you guys got rain!!
RIght before you said it, I was thinking.....they dude looks like a younger Papa Dar.
Paul you have great shop fabrication talents ...and a beautiful wife ...and great kids. Fun to watch. Hope the flooding at your and family homes didn't do major damage. Being a retired journeyman aircraft jig and fixture builder (40 years) I've crashed a few dial indicators. Some were repairable.....others not worth the effort.
I finally heard confirmation of something I have supposed since becoming a fan and subscribing member. I too celebrate "Pioneer" days.
Great vid. Just got my Fab T Shirts an stickers. Thanks Fab Rats for such a awesome show
Oh yeah, can’t beat watching these guys good times watchin a couple of grease monkeys haha
The new normal for weather seems to be drought and when it does rain it rains like it's being poured out of a bucket.
Yep, and if & when you want to take a hike through any of the many beautiful rock ravines, or even some riverbeds, be sure to get a weather forecast & be on constant lookout for any sign of a thunderstorm. Many have been caught by a flash flood and didn’t make it out.
A farmer likes plenty of rain and sunshine, if not to much or to little, as long as it comes on days he has CHOSEN
Great video Paul, you guys are awesome. Thank You very much from California.
On a future episode, building a new bridge at the in-laws with the borrowed wrecker... Looking forward to it!
It is so impressive to see you be able to create a vehicle. Not many people in the world can do what you do.
Im tellin u what. Those boys of yours are living in a kingdom and i bet they dont really realize it. The amount of knowledge thats being dropped on the table is insane! Wow i love this channel!
thanks for the tips on the drive line angle.
This is my favorite channel on RUclips. Your family is awesome and I can at least wish I had it growing up... I support good wholesome entertainment which is rare these days. I think if you averaged your videos about two and a half to three and a half minutes shorter each you would average more full watch through times. You could also keep some of the magic you show, just that, magic!
Love the part with your boys welding together.
With all that rain I expect to see some mudding soon on MORR. Cant wait.
Michelle has earned herself a new nickname........... "Tailstock Michelle!" 😂😂😂 the flood, Thunder and Lighting looks impressive. The Mayor is the spitting image of Papa Dar, I did a double take when he was at the 'Yota' window.
the keeps is making Papa Dar look younger .. lol
Yesterday was the first day it HADNT rained down in Mississippi
got my new FAB RATS sticker today love great looking and quick service !!
I love your interaction with Michelle.
Paul seems knowledgeable about all topics related to vehicles. I enjoy the.videos.
I never heard the "Fast and Slow" description concerning U Joints but I figured that they weren't "Constant Velocity Joints. "
Paul that leith of yours is a real beauty, I wouldn't say no to having her in my shop that's for sure. That's before ill health stopped me in my tracks of course!!! 😔
I live in Missouri, that rain simply appears to be like spring around here!
Wow Paul, your driveline fab skills are super impressive, especially the truing part! Do you ever need to balance the driveshafts?
Paul you need to get some brass caps to put over the splines so you don't have to grind off the hammer bumps. LOL! My driveline in my truck always vibrated at 60-65 MPH until I had the driveshaft balanced. Now, smooth as can be.
He makes it look so easy,
Funny thing is i had a job 10 years ago working a lathe and we made tubes for large conveyors, i mostly made the shafts but eventually mated them to the tube as well, it never occurred to me that i know how to build driveshafts
O my goodness that raging waters is close to your home. That's awesome to live in a small town where everybody knows everybody take care of each other. It's a blessing for rain lol but not to much at one time. 🙏❣️
It was funny watching Michelle's hair bob when setting the lathe!
Glad you got the rain. Here in NW Oregon we haven't received a drop of rain in over a month. Send us some if you get tired of it. :-O
Thanks for another great video. I hope the flood damage was minimal.
Thanks for a great video I look forward to it all day and when you're wife is behind the camera it makes it even better
Gotta love the desert rock that doesn't soak up water snuff
Thanks for your video's and sharing your family experiences. It is great to see you appreciate Family big and small :)
The old Chevy is coming along nicely.Gre as t Job Guys...
