Many thanks to simplesimon5273 who commented earlier. There is no need to ruin the external vent trim on the wing like this guy does. Just remove the 10mm bolt at the very top of the bottle then I used a large straight head screwdriver to gently ease up the bottom of the bottle from its support bracket. The whole bottle then rotates clockwise over the trim in question and comes out easily without knackering anything. I also removed the top 3 hex screws holding the front wheel arch liner and tied it back out of the way which made things much easier. Whole job under 3 hours including 1.25 hrs cleaning and flushing out the bottle and three tea and pee breaks. I find that if I rush at these things they take longer.
Just did my today. And started to take t the plastic panel on the wing behind the wheel arch and noticed it’s was sealed in place. So I looked at it properly and found you could removed the water tank without removing the panel. You just need to undo the top bolt on the tank and then lift upward on the part in the wing. My issue was not the pump. It was the small grommet filter that the pump fits into, so I clean and it works fine. Thanks for the fun video.
The windscreen washer pump is on the driver's side in the UK. It's my wife's BMW and the pump filter gets blocked every few months. Never experienced such a problem on any car before.
hello, do you have any idea what I can check if these sprinklers don't work at all anymore? it doesn't make any noise when I turn it on, it's been working for a few days now, is there anything wrong with it? thank you

I appreciate your efforts sir. Don’t listen to the dipsticks in the comment section ( if this was your personal car … but if your @ a shop you suck ✌🏿💯✌🏿
Definitely some examples of what not to do, but this is the only example I can find on a 4 series with Bimmerangs... If anyone knows how to remove the clips at 5:18 without breaking, I'd be very grateful!
Something as small and simple like a washer water pump... requires destroying the car. BMW engineering at it's best. No wonder the BMW garage charges me so much !
Rubbish! I followed you and ended up breaking the fixing points on the vent by the M sport badge. The dealers are closed and I have to wait till Monday to fix this. You had new pins ready.
@@alexfixty - are these clips have some sort of special code or name? How to find these clips to buy? I need to clean the washer liquid tank properly, as blowing up the pipes helps only for a few hours, a day maybe. So I need to prepare myself and my beauty for broken clips. If anyone knows the spec. name for these clips, let me know. Thanks.
Now I know why BMW quoted me two hours labour at £220 per hour. I injected drain cleaner from Lidle and left it for thee hours and then backflushed the system with clean water. Hey presto filter clean and saved a large bill. Use silicone nozels and washing up bottles.

Ok meaning you did not need to remove the air vent at the wheel arch?
Thanks for the info!
I need a vid on that also tia
nice greenery environment, well verse, well described, right tools and able to flashman mode speed at the end 😂. Great video and guidance!
Thank you. Good show and tell. I hate plastic rivets but keep a whole assortment on hand for this reason.

What is the name (or Part Number) of the component at 5:53? Thanks
Do you know where the fuse is for the windshield washers?
Don’t think you find one tbh 🫢

It's a one time use clip. You'll need to get new ones and replace it
Your pump didn work at all or it didn f have high pressure?
Didn’t work

Lol
Hai ragione, potevano mettere il serbatoio nel cofano anteriore senza problemi! 😊
Think that's hard work? Try and change the headlight light bulb in a newer shape vectra
Do you know what you are doing or guessing as you do…?
Both
👍🏻👍🏻
PPPPPP. You would have appeared way more competent if you’d practiced this before filming.

The pins I installed were universal ones, if you know how not to brake those clips you can let us know, that would help 👍
