I ended up switching to to peroxide solution because a friend of mine uses it and strongly recommended it. I do wish my eye doctor had recommended it from the beginning. Less irritating to the eyes and they feel cleaner. Instead of that initial itching sting of multipurpose solution, you just get a cool wet sensation as the peroxide decays into saline solution overnight.
I used regular 3% hydrogen peroxide to clean (rub) my lens and eye container. Then I use a multipurpose solution to rinse and store it in. *will update the outcome once requested*
@@skylerbond56 honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if their experiment didn’t go according to plan, because without something to neutralize hydrogen peroxide, it’ll just stick to the lens; upon putting it in your eye the next morning, it’ll BURN.
I got an allergic conjunctivitis from the preservatives in the multi-purpose solution. My doctor immediately switched me from multipurpose to HP solutions. It's so much better on every level. :D
I hear a lot that If the contact lens is stored for along time and eventually expired that it's not the lens itself but actually the saline which the contact lens came in is the one has expired, is that scientifically true?
I will be getting contacts; I don't want the Multi Purpose Cleaner. I worled as a jeweler. We used Boric Acid to clean jewelry, to remove carbon build up from solder jewelry, used it to melt metal, used it to solder metal as flux. It is extremely skin irritating. And it also is used as an insecticide. I don't want that near, or come in touch with my eyes. I will be using the 3% hydrogen peroxide cleaner; I don't know if the catalytic metal inside the cleaning container that comes with the set has real platinum, or its just a a marketing term. But if it is real platinum; disregard the instructions to just use it for 1 month, and just switch to generic 3% hydrogen peroxide. Platinum is corrosion resistant, it has an extremely high melting point, it is virtually indestructible; so the manufacturer telling you to buy more containers with the same thing is pure BS. Hydrogen peroxide does not wear out platinum it causes a chemical reaction that separates an oxygen atom from H2O2 to leave behind H2O; the metal remains intact, and inert. Also, don't let them fear monger you about the container "getting bacteria"; nothing survives hydrogen peroxide, and when it breaks down into oxygen... Oxygen also destroys bacteria.
I dint know if there's difference between regular and the one they advertise for lens, but the regular one burned mu eyes. Had to rinse very well with cleaning solution before use. But it did clean well, no need of rubbing.
Could I use hydrogen peroxide solution daily or it’s just for weekly disinfecting purpose? I have yearly lens and a friend of mine said it might dry up my lens if I use hydrogen peroxide solution daily. TIA!

Is it good to use with Hard Lenses for Keratoconus??
Indeed, part 2 with how to use home hydrogen peroxide with soft lenses? 🙏🤗
It's just refuse 3% hydrogen peroxide with the catalytic metal in the container.
This shit burned my eyes soooo bad….stinging and redness for hours
you have to let them sit in the solution 6 hrs….then rinse
Hello, Can ise use Avizor Ever Clean which is tablet based Hydrogen Peroxide solution for my RGP lenses ?

That is true. The disinfectant agent in the solution become less effective, it is recommended to change the solution after a day usage.

Thanks a lot sir; but should I use regular hydrogen peroxide?
Have you had any luck finding out? 🤞🍀

Use it daily every night after taking them out
But keep in mind the the hydrogen peroxide system is ONLY for SOFT lenses that last 30 days or less
You should speak to an optometrist about your current circumstances, however
Never did say HOW to use it.
@A L any recommended products, or your method? 🙏
Yeah, idk man. I used hydrogen peroxide to clean my contacts and that shit just burned my eyes when i put them bsck in
The III I believe you are supposed to soak them in the peroxide for at least 6 hours, then rinse each contact lense for 5 seconds before use.
You need to use the special case. You can buy it at Walmart. It neutralizes it for you, so it won’t sting.
Did you read the instructions?
@Jason Lee No no no, NEVER put hydrogen peroxide on your lens and then directly into your eye!
@Jason Lee I hope you are actually ignorant. If you said that knowingly, then you are a horrible piece of shit.
