I just bought the Same exact Jeep Compass Latitude 4X4 2 tone white and black with the Altitude package on Saturday 7/20/24. I plan on using it for off-road use here in Hawaii where there's lava rocks and extremely rocky roads on the coast line where lots of people go with 4x4 vehicles and lifted vehicles to go fishing 🎣 to catch lots of fish and GT Giant Trevally. I ordered a full size rim 18x8 from tire rack, a full size tire from Amazon which came in yesterday, a bolt to mount it in the trunk for the spare since the dealership said that new vehicles nowadays don't have spare tires, they only come with an air pump, and I have a 2.5 ton black jack floor jack from my previous car 2018 Subaru Impreza Sport Wagon which I tried going off-road with but it's way to low, that's why I traded it in for the new Jeep. Trucks were way to expensive for me and this was the cheapest New vehicle I could buy that had clearance and was 4x4. Other Jeeps that I saw was way too expensive and my payments would be around $900 or more per month so this 2024 Jeep Compass Latitude 4X4 is what I'm dealing with and I plan on buying 4x4 parts to protect the undercarriage, a small lift kit, all terrain tires when I have extra money. I'll slowly pick up parts. The plastic lip under the front bumper I'm removing tomorrow. It's close to the ground and scrapes before anything else. I just ceramic coated my Jeep today in my garage and put a car cover over it so the cats and birds don't climb on it or take a crap on it. I'm getting a skid plate next. I found one at a website in Europe for a cheap price but it doesn't have UNITED STATES as a shipping option so I emailed them and I'm working on getting them to ship it to me. Hopefully they do if not the next cheapest skid plate I saw online was $304. I'll keep hunting for off-road parts so I can get my Jeep ready for off-road fishing 🎣 trips every weekend and catch lots of big fish 🐟
What is different about the altitude packackage? I live in a place where I can be anywhere from 700 feet above sea level to as high as at least 1100 feet. In some places around here the hills can be steep too! I like the way they didn't make the radar part a hideous black square that stands out like a sore thumb the way Hyundai did with theirs. That same thing even ruined the looks of some Mercedes Benzes too!
It’s an entry level jeep, I own the exact model. Not ideal for off road, like cmon u don’t buy a compass for off-roading it’s a commuting vehicle, and just nothing but complaints. Better engine and transmission over the old model. But the amount of complaining is unreal. Like a jeep below $30k is gonna have its cheapness, especially compared to the wrangler/gladiator or grand cherokee.

I have a 2018 compass trail hawk with 133k miles on it honestly have had no major work done. Just fluid changes tires and brakes. About to change the wheel berings. I do my own work so it has been working great for me.

Hi! Done know if you ever got an answer. I just got a jeep compass and you can turn on the guide by going through your car settings. I don’t know the exact one, but the settings are able to be configured on the dash display screen.
