Ingenium I have seen them 6 times now, and have driven 16 hours for a two way trip to Nashville to see their last show from AL. I have never seen someone be as good as them live. It’s such an amazing experience and almost religious? For me. I cry every time.

Just a note on her accent: she is a fine southern lady. Though in her case it's very light, her southern American accent does come out just a bit here and there. Just another part of her immense charm. Also, I love your comments about her lower range. Something about it always gives me the good kind of chills. Especially when she goes down to the resolution at the end of a melodic passage like she does here on the word "spark" often. Just beautiful.

I’m 51 and I turned my daughters on to Paramore during Riot! We’ve seen them live six times and she knocks me out each time. Hayley is such an amazing singer and performer.
It's honestly incredible. You can really tell how hurt her voice was when you watch live performances from like 10-12, but then the way she adapted her technique i think really matured her sound as she recovered. Even as early as the Paris show in 2013 she's sounding imo better than she ever had, better even than during the Riot & Warped tours. The Renegade performance from that show in particular showcases how well she bounced back, and then i think she just kept going from strength to strength vocally over the years. I've never enjoyed how she sounds more than the AL era Parahoy in 2018.
I love her range, it's incredible. I like classical, jazz, 60's and 70's, and metal/hard rock, so Paramore shouldn't fit in but they're in my top 10 of bands. And Hayley is life!
After Laughter is my favourite Paramore album by an absolute landslide but this is my favourite song, period, at the moment. Paramore just make me feel so happy when I listen to them, was delighted when I saw you did a video on this after finding you through Jinjer's Pisces.

I know I’m 5 years late to this, but I can’t help it, gotta comment lol. I love hearing Hayley’s voice and talent celebrated the way it deserves. I saw them live in a tiny dingy club when they were so young (she’s my age), around 19 years old I think. It was one of the most memorable shows I have ever seen. Even at that young age, she (and the band as a whole) was absolutely incredible. They ended the set with “My Heart (is Yours)”. Full body chills for the entire song. I cannot describe the magic of it. Unforgettable. ❤

I have a high whistle voice. I was doing sirens for my vocal coach and she said she usually has a couple that get lessons that compete for the highest and the guy is higher but I beat it. Not that it's particularly usable. I also have had terrible acid reflux all my life.
PLEASE make more videos about acid reflux and singers! i'm a singer that struggles with this exact issue...and I never thought it could actually contribute to whistle tone ability (or that someone as incredible as Hayley Williams could have it). i found that part of the video so fascinating :)
its so fascinating because actually the American accent Hayley is demonstrating has the rhotacism of the Scotish accent but the vowel shape or placement of the British accent. So Scotish people might say ar as in "spark", and british people may say aw in "spawk", but Americans will say awr in "spawrk". I know that's a very American-centrict way of explaining it but I can't think of a better way. Awesome video love it.

There actually is a term for the accent Williams is singing in. It's called "cursive singing" and contains a lot of artifacts from old fashioned American English. Namely the days of the "coil-curl merger". It's a way to drop rhodicity without sounding British.
It would be really cool if you did a reaction series to one of their new sets with the new album. You could break it up into a series to get all the songs in because she adds so much to it and she’s really good
