- Splish Splash is one of America's largest water parks. Located on Long Island, New York, this Palace Entertainment owned property features a strong and deep water slide lineup with lots of great attractions. And the park also compliments the attractions with an abundance of shade, some theming, and great operations. Find out why this is the northeast's best outdoor water park!

Heading there Saturday after a long hiatus since my childhood. Now I’m taking my children. Life comes full circle.
Enjoy!
awesome!
Enjoy
This video made my day!! I’m a lifeguard at this park and I saw myself in the video we really do work very hard to make it a great experience!! I appreciate your kind words about the park so much I’m glad u enjoyed your time!!
Awesome!
A huge park that looks like a ton of fun! That truly is one of the best slide lineups out there.
Sure is.
Splish Splash is my home park. Thanks for the highlighting the park and bringing up so many great memories I had there
You're welcome!
What a throwback. I used to go to Splish Splash all the time as a kid, before I became a lifeguard and water parks were ruined for me. A lot has changed over the decade. It was certainly a better place than Adventureland, or anything else Long Island had to offer.
It was the highlight of our trip.
The best part of Long Island is the Hamptons
splish splash sucks way over crowded and overpriced
@@davoid96 not even close
not to mention no more cliff diver
Many childhood summers were spent going to Splish Splash with my dad 🥰🥰🥰
Nice!
Thanks so much for this very detailed review. I will be going tomorrow with my family. Looking forward to it
Enjoy!
I love Splash Splash!! I think Dr. Von Dark might be better but at the same time it isn’t the best ride at the park. Thanks for visiting the water park!!!
Maybe this one is better.
My gf and I bought a ticket a week ago and just waiting for a good time to go for us and this video has us even more excited!
Enjoy!
I’m very happy you visited my home water park i’ve been there so many times but I haven’t been there in years I should definitely go back i’m only like 30 minutes away from it
And you are so right about the traffic on Long Island i’m from Hauppauge so I know how it is coming from the city in rush hour especially is really annoying
I'd visit more often if I were closer.
I love your channel and to see you review my home park really made me smile
Nice!
I used to work at Mountain Creek Waterpark, which used to be a Palace property, though not when I worked there. Have you ever been there? I noticed a few similarities to Splish Splash in this video.
We had similarly good operations. We tried to hit the minimum interval whenever possible. It's incredibly frustrating at Six Flags waterparks how slow they are. They won't even let you load until the previous rider is completely out of the pool, and they usually send multi-slide complexes one at a time, defeating their purpose. It's nice to see that other waterparks do a better job.
The shade is very important, and we were also lucky enough to have that. Not only was it better for guests, but it was also easier to work there.
I rarely visit waterparks because I am usually by myself and can't go on a bunch of the rides that don't allow single riders. Do you just ask random people to pair up with you? At Mountain Creek, most of the slides had only double tubes, but if you were a single rider, you just rode by yourself in the double tube, sitting in the rear position. The only slides that you couldn't go on as a single rider were the proslide tornado and family raft ride.
If it was back in 2015 (my first year working at Mountain Creek), I would've argued that it was better than Splish Splash. However, I now think the opposite is true. Unfortunately, Mountain Creek has lost so many attractions since I worked there. Cannonball Falls, Tarzan Swing, Upper Cliff Jump, Rogue River, Thunder Falls, River Runner, and Junior Rapids were either shut down by the State of New Jersey or are otherwise no longer listed on the park's website, and they lost their proslide tornado called High Anxiety to a fire and didn't replace it.
I still need to visit Mountain Creek.
I live here at Long Island, pretty close to Splish Splash too it’s only a 10 minute drive there. I go there once a week every summer with a few friends and it’s very fun, our favorite ride is the Alien Invasion. I’ve been on Dr Von Dark as well a few times and it’s pretty fun, and haven’t had any problems luckily so perhaps ours over here might have been improved. Unfortunately last week there was a thunderstorm and it hit Bootleggers Run so the ride was closed when I went there. I hope it reopens, it’s the only ride I’ve never been on and now want to try after seeing the replays of it.
I think it reopened after that storm.
I'm excited for this trip tommorow :D. I'm in a Rockville centered eoc camp and I'm so excited thanks for the info
Enjoy!
Doctor van Darks is one of the best slides at Splish Splash. This one does not have transition problems like the one at water country.
Good to know!
I went to splish splash a couple of weeks ago and in terms of doctor van dark, my ride didnt cause me to smack heads and so i believe that this one is profiled a little differently. Great park, very fun
That's encouraging.
You just brought memories to me
Nice!
What do you think would be a good replacement for Cliff Diver? (bigger speed slide)
They have an intense speed slide in Bombs Away. I'd prefer to see a different slide type.
dr vondarks is a fun slide, you do not get injured whatsoever. it is pitch black so you don’t really know what’s going on but i have no complaints.
Maybe this one is profiled differently than Water Country's.
Looks Fun!!
It is.
Do you recommend going on weekdays or weekends?
I’m going to Splish splash to days so I’m just wondering
I have only visited on a Saturday and we had no trouble doing everything. Weekdays would have lighter crowds.
man i was waiting for you to do a review on splish splash i went there a week ago great place and also out of all of the rides what was your favorite mine would be bombs away.
Bootlegger's Run was my favorite.
I remember when I went on bombs away and water shot up my nose. 10000000/10. Would definitely go again
Tbh I do think that they should add more tube/raft slides. I've been there so many times. I also believe if they do ever expand make more thrill slides.
The rich would only get richer.
How far is this place from New York City? And if it's too far, what else is there to do on Long Island for tourists?
No traffic, I think 90 min. There's beaches and sightseeing.
@@CanobieCoaster is there any waterparks in nyc? or near there?
@@6ydk668 No water parks in NYC. There is Coney Island which is…how do I put it gently…? If you ARENT from one of the five boros, don’t go. Its in an extremely rough area and pick pockets and muggers can sniff a tourist like blood in the water. Try Rye Playland a little ways upstate.
@@Gothiclovesick thank you for telling me about that i did not go there but i did go to dreamworks waterpark in jersey
@@6ydk668It's not located in New York City itself, but the DreamWorks Waterpark is located at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and that's eight across the bay from NYC. You should check out that place also.
Great review
Thanks!
I went to splish splash on August 7 because we haven’t went since back 2018 and we are going again, but in next year in 2023, also the park is fun 💦
Nice!
@@CanobieCoaster I know right 😁
This was a great thorough review I will be visiting this place very soon
Enjoy!
happy i live 15 minutes away from splish splash (i was just there like 15 hours ago)
Nice!
Do you know what happened to cliff diver?
I heard the structure heard problems
It was removed.
@@CanobieCoaster sad it was a really steep bodyslide
Hyperlight used to be called “The Abyss” I miss that ride
Yes it was.
Do folks here recommend the H2GO passes? I've read so many conflicting comments about them elsewhere but it seems they can really save you on a crowded day. Anyone have an experience they can share from this year with them?
I didn't need them on a Saturday with beautiful weather. Longest line was 30-40 min.
Best ride here?
Bootlegger's Run
On a hot day this is exactly what the doctor may have ordered.
Yes
RIP Cliff Diver
Sad to see it go.
What happened to cliff diver😢
Removed
I'm surprised this place isn't more clouded when you look at Long Island traffic.
The lower tier passholders are blocked out on Saturdays, so it sounds like they get a balanced crowd throughout the summer.
have you heard of raging waves in Illinois it is almost as big as this
I'll have to look at that park.
You forgot to talk about Cliff Diver.
Sadly it has been removed.
@@CanobieCoaster I heard they were just refurbishing it.
Oh and doctor von dark alleviates The head bouncing problem because it only allows to riders on the ride so that way you’re not really hitting it to anybody when you go down the slide
That's good!
This was my park growing up. I'm a little disappointed to see the large drop tower wasn't in this video I guess it's gone.... It was called cliffhanger.
Do you mean cliff diver?
It was removed.
@@Tree455 yes, that was the ride! Sad to see it gone...
Yea me and my cousins were going to go later this month. We’re sad to see it was closed. It’s still there but there was some damage done to it because of lighting on July 2
And for common sense reasons it’s closed
Alien invasion was probably the only fun and most scary one out of All them
I liked Bootlegger's best.
@@CanobieCoaster yeah it was pretty good too
My brother used to work here and his feet got a horrible blister because they made him wear uncomfortable crocks the whole day
Oh no!
Hi :)
Hi
im at WWFOCs pissholder peviews
Enjoy!

@@CanobieCoaster yeah there is also like zero way to hit your head with your riding partner with the way these tubes are built.
