    Just want to share this: I work in a hospital an hour away from Chicago. Start salary for RNs is $30. Night shift differential $5.50/hour. Yearly increase of 2-3%. Bonus almost every year. $8K yearly tuition reimbursement. Retirement (401K). Paid trainings and all that. My family started renting a one bedroom apartment for $550/month for a year. Then we moved to a two bedroom apartment for $750/month for less than a year. Then we bought a foreclosed 3 bedroom house for $70K. After 2 years we sold the house for $103K. We bought another foreclosed house for $125K, 4 bedroom. We used the money that we made from from our first house to renovate our new house which now has a value of $200K. Kahit nasan state o city ka kylangan lang sipag and abilidad.

    • @Sugar_World
      @Sugar_World 4 года назад +3

      Pahabol ko lang, yung start na $30 ay sa mga new graduate. Kung may experience ka e additional $.50 per year sa base pay. For example 5 years experience, $32.50 ang start pay mo then increase ka yearly.

    You're right... OR/ICU/ER Nurses earn a bit higher than other areas.... In OR, u have oncall, call back, and differential rates... and if u're called past midnight, u have a paid 4 hours without even working for it....
    I live in state of CT, starting is 34-38/hr per agency rate. Can go higher after contract. I didnt buy a car yet and decided to live close to hosp so I can just walk... I'm still improving my credit score so i can buy directly at dealership without high APRs.
    Im saving for emergency fund in case somethimg happens. If ma hit ko na target savings ko. I'll buy a car and move to apartment a bit far from hospital na medyo mura... so ang difference pambayad ko nlang sa car and insurance....
    U have to be smart with finances here.....

    Hindi talaga biro ang pumunta ng amerika.. dapat mejo bata bata ka pa kasi based sa video na to .. 2-5 years ang gugulin mo sa trabaho bago ka tuluyan makabawi sa buhay.. so kung nasa 25 to 30 years old ka na at umaasa ka pa den jan sa american dream mo gising gising uy... kung 30 ka ngaun 35 years old ka na bago makabawi.. dun ka palang talaga mag sisimula yumaman.. pag yaman mo 45 years old ka na tapos di ka pa nag aasawa hahahah.. malungkot ang buhay kapag masyado mataas ang pangarap..
    good job kay ate nakapag nursing agad jan kahit walang experience.. pero kayung mga nanonood hindi ganun ka swerte ang kapalaran nio kaya isip isip.

      hello po sir sorry late reply po sa comments nio. I do agree in some of the things you said, but ibaba po tau ng kapalaran ang iba po sinuswerte ang iba po may mga twist and turns po sa buhay but it doesn’t mean that they are not successful, iba iba po tau ng sukatan ng success ung iba sa material ung iba naman something deep and invisible to the naked eye so the best solution for this issue is don’t compare your life to someone else lives kaxe jan po tau magkakaroon ng depression and feeling of something lacking in your life, what we need to do is be grateful of what we have and start working in our dreams maganda napo ung kahit papano may nasisimulan na paunti unti mag sikap kung di mo man maabot pangarap mo atleast your life is 1 step ahead of your previous situation and it’s better, be positive and i made this channel to boost moral of people and to inspire them to dream because i am exactly where they are 3 years ago just dreaming, have no clue on how to start but now God give me a chance to be here, just don’t give up drop your free, take a chance and you will make a difference! have a great day everyone be positive 😊❤️

      @mryoso22 4 года назад +1

      @@FilipinoCoupleInAmerica hi po thanks po.. yes po mam positive naman po tayo.. it's just my way of warning lang po.. sayang nga lang po kasi ang mga pilipino karamihan is puno ng colonial mentality... american dream pero hindi namn po sila amerikano, pilipino po sila.. may narinig po ba kayong philippine dream? wala po diba.. para po sakin some one who would lose hope for his own country can never be successful (yan po ay aking opinion)... if you cannot love your own what kind of difference can you make.. ang impact lang po noon is self preservation.. and sadly self preservation na nga lang, may malaki pa deng chance na hindi paden mag succeed after all the sacrifices.. that's why in the end of my comment i suggested them to think... :) thank you po mam im happy po na very accomodating po kayo sa comment section.. i hope you wont take my comments as very offensive.. i tried to be as reasonable as i possibly can..

    Very informative! I thought I’d share this. Here in Canada, atleast here in BC, the entry level wage of an RN as of April 1st 2021, and as per the BCNU (BC Nurses’ Union) wage grid, is $36.23 CAD regardless of where you work (Long-term care, Acute care including ER/OR, ICU). There’s a yearly increase between $1-$1.50. Very expensive COL esp dito BC from taxes, rent, internet/phone plans, groceries, down to car insurance although no water bill (in general). Hydro (electricity) lang among all the others. At the end of the day, we are all covered by Canada’s Universal Health Care with or without a job, rich or poor, so talagang at peace of mind mga citizens/residents dito. That’s why matataas taxes, etc dito. 🙂

      Here in New Zealand, if you work in the government hospital as an RN, you have incentives during winter months which are plus 800 NZ dollars extra night shift and penal rates during weekends which additional around 150 dollars. Starting salary for entry level is about 32 NZ dollars. Cost living here is not that high if you live in rural areas. We are covered by Universal Health so we also have peace of mind. Moreover, child care here is subsidized by government. Just sharing. Thanks.

No tax free accommodation water and electricity. Fully furnished na wala ka ng isipin then transport to work is free. 50 percent cheaper standard of living compared dyan according sa google up to 65 years then down side uwi ka na sa pinas. Just want to say, kung balak ninyong magpunta dito sa USA as a Nurse ay dito na lang kayo sa California magpunta. Una maganda ang climate dito sa California pangalawa ay mataas ang suweldo ng mga Nurses dito especially sa San Francisco area way much higher than Chicago (maybe 3 or 4 times higher). Mas mataas pa keysa sa Los Angeles area. Napakalamig sa Chicago, magsisisi kayo too much ang lamig dun.
