I don't think I know any other songs by Lizzo but I LOVE this song. The lyrics are hilarious, catchy and thought provoking.
I think another 1 of her best songs is called About Dam Time, I suggest you have a listen to it.
We saw her in London on 15th March and it was the most beautiful experience of my life. She sang this and I ugly cried so hard! Lizzo is love.

even more all by myself than when I set foot in their Office. Lizzo's Songs remind me that who I am is okay. That having a panic attack is AOkay. I have had to learn how to deal with my Mental Illness without the help of Therapists. Because they always play stupid mindgames and I don't have the ability or energy to keep up with them.
Sorry for the rant but I just think it's a stretch to assume everybody gets treated with kindness and compassion by therapists bc I for one do not.

This song not only is catchy and upbeat, but God does it speak to me on so many levels. For the longest time out of my life. I always felt like I was someone who wasn't worthy of love. I remember just recently I’ve had major neck surgery (thyroid cancer) and so they asked me to play my favorite song while they put me to sleep, and so I chose this. And I remember it was like Lizzo was there with me and I didn’t care what they did to me as long as I could here Lizzo’s song. We love you Lizzo!!!

It's not about being insecure. It's not about feeling like you don't deserve other people's love. Its about how you don't even know if you can love yourself. the song takes a mature stance and says "Im trying, reality hurts and Im trying anyways, because I have to love myself first." Its not a body acceptance song and its nat a "Screw everyone im doing what I want" song, even though it starts that way. Its a song that's way darker with an upbeat tone. Most people don't even think this far deep about themselves. Wish her the best in her struggle with self acceptance. its rough. I really doubt most people like themselves. she's taking that idea that everyone can relate to rather than making is specifically about her. So even in her own climb, she knows every else is also trying to get up those mountains.

We are challenged everyday to accept our situations, our doubts, our loves, our passions, our hates, our wants, our needs, our faults.
Think the Buddhist mantras "life is suffering, you are only free from suffering when you can accept that suffering it is part of life". No matter how hard life is, the root of all suffering is the inability to accept faults in life, and the desire to change one's situation, before acceptance is explored first.
Accept things as they are, even if they are not great, and be at peace with oneself. The rest will come later.
