The problem is still in the molds the cores go in to. Unless you print molds and cores which we do all the time with the Furan binder. But in most cases it’s way cheaper to make a cheap pattern and mold using traditional techniques for air set or green sand. The hybrid approach is way cheaper but comes at the price of smoke and fumes. I would like to see what the performance of these materials is like. Smoke, dust, strength and build quality.
