For those intereste, many of the tracks (if not all) were taken from "Dracula Best vol 2 CD 1" which is an album of Castlevania IV music but they added in some sounds/intros and compiled some of the tracks. Still essentially the same music but it comes off more as a Castlevania experience such as the intro to the first track "Demon Castle Dracula" and track 6 with the sound of a waterfall.
My favorite game soundtrack of all time. This sounds like it is taken from the Akumajou Dracula Best Vol 2 official OST release and not the games Raw sound extracted as I own both the game and the official OST, and I am glad you were able to cut the bass down as in some tracks especially the intro it is way too overpowering. Almost every song in this game is perfect I wish I was talented enough to write entire Symphony score to this soundtrack how the songs are done here not like OVGC and other touring Symphony groups that only do the versions from the first three games and possibly haunted castle (the Konami Kukeiha Club arranged version of the Haunted Castle opening theme is awesome).
I've been pretty busy with releases so I don't like to overlap them... so this one came out a bit later than I had wanted it to. Thanks for being patient! Hope the quality is to your liking, I thought it sounded a little noisy on some parts, especially on the other sides of the records, but other than that I think it's great as a whole Hope you enjoy the rest. Side 2 comes out tomorrow, and sides 3 and 4 come out Monday and Tuesday :)
I'm a sucker for a bit of nostalgia and have been listening to old SNES soundtracks on youtube for the past few years now(this game always being one of my all-time favourites).. Thanks for uploading these, I had no idea there were releases on Vinyl! This is a whooole 'nother level of quality, I'm honestly blown away! Only problem now is that I'm in the UK and I don't know whether to risk buying vinyl from abroad, given handling and customs prices :(
I remember as a kid, when I first saw the SNES and Super Mario World and Super Castlevania 4 I was more impressed by the music of Castlevania than any graphics.
This one is the best so far. Though I'd say that SOTN is my most favorite Castlevania OST of all time. Now it would be nice if theyd bring that one out soon. It seems they are taking forever with that one.
One of my favorite videogame soundtracks of all time, I even made a remix of the entire album octavators.bandcamp.com/album/super-castlevania-iv-the-remix-album
Nice to know the first track has nearly the same vinyl imperfections as my copy does. Hope you don't mind me adding my own two cents while you post your sides.
Oh not at all, I appreciate any and all comments and feedback. It's comforting to know our copies share imperfections. I always assume going into these that my single copy sounds bad while everyone else's sound great
There's always the chance that it could, but it just might be similar ones at best. I know a few people had exact issues with Outrun way back last year so it's definitely possible
The record appears to have been pressed slightly off-center which could help explain why you hear sonic imperfections throughout the more quiet passages of the first track. Most likely, the needle is grazing the sidewall of the groove on every revolution, hence the low-level whooshing sound we're hearing.
Could it be a chance that the reason it's making that whooshing noise is because it's a brand new needle? I had just replaced it the same day I recorded the audio for this and my old needle didn't make that noise for this album
@@vgmvinyl btw, I see that you're turntable is an audio-technica, but what kind? Does it have a preamp? Did it come with speakers? Does it use a belt? Thanks!
The split was the more limited one. By the time you ordered it, it may have already been sold out. The splatter version was the standard/common version
Wouldn’t call it a defect rather than a byproduct/risk I guess when dealing with vinyl and color pigments. Some colors are simply more noisier than others which will of course affect the sound
What a horrible night to not own this.
Mega lol 🤣
this soundtrack is a musical masterpiece.
lucalone i agree 🙏🏻
💯
My God the goosebumps, this soundtrack is inmortal.
RUclips will not stop auto-playing and recommending this video...
And I couldn't be happier about it.
The greatest video game soundtrack of all time. And while we’re at it, greatest SNES game.
4:30 is so epic this theme!!
One of the best in the series.
9:56. I don't ever remember hearing those congas so demonstrably before. They sounded to be more in the background when I played the games years ago.
its not just u my friend.... defnitly arranged vers or somehow fuller thankfully on this release.
I recorded this on my minidisc at that time. Good memories

Impressive knowledge on the subject
Thanks
Excelente sountrack de mi juego favorito de Castlevania.
One of the first video game vinyl videos I ever watched...and I just picked up this variant on eBay. Psyched.
You have officially come full circle, my friend
Absolutely wicked, never heard of it before, thanks for the treat!

Well said!!!
bumping this while taking my finals - thanks @AnthonyTRP
Simon's theme is so elegant, so triumphant.
Thank you for uploading, I'll be getting it.
I just ordered this album, cannot wait to hear it on my setup.
FINALLY! thanks for posting, definitely the best VGM Vinyl commissioned to date! Think side 3 is the best, but love it as a whole.

TheReginaldProgram sounds fine to me, chief! I have this on Vinyl but nice to be able to enjoy it on the move too. Keep up the good work
Good to hear, thank you thank you. Glad to hear you have a copy as well. As long as we're all supporting the label in the end it makes me happy

Just got the album in myself, was surprised it needed to be played at 45 instead of 33 even though it doesn’t say anywhere to do that
I'm gonna order this too. Just saw it's still on the website! crazy to think. Can't wait to spin this
Brutal!!
What is a vinyl? A miserable little pile of grooves! But enough talk, have at you!
wii1245 LOL!!!
Your words are as empty as your soul.
POOR SOUL are you !!!

Veri Cool

Muy buena música una de las mejores, Excelent!, saludos desde Chile ;)
rolas bien chingonas 🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇
I just bought the limited dual split. Won't open as its a collectors item. Will get a non limited one to listen to.
One of my favorite videogame soundtracks of all time, I even made a remix of the entire album octavators.bandcamp.com/album/super-castlevania-iv-the-remix-album
I'll give it a full listen on a day where I have time and I'll let you know how I like it. Sounds pretty good just from previewing it though!

I don't know if we share the EXACT imperfections, but we'll find out when you post your second LP's worth of sides.

OMG Hoooooooo!
I really wish Zombies Ate My Neighbors would get a vinyl release.
There is a bootleg out there that I believe doesn’t sound too great. I don’t own it, but I know others who do
@@vgmvinyl Interesting. Thanks!

I ordered my copy from Mondo and I do not remember a split version?? I have the Gray with red splatter version.
The split was the more limited one. By the time you ordered it, it may have already been sold out. The splatter version was the standard/common version
TheReginaldProgram Ahh thanks. I never knew about the split version. I missed the CV3 split as well lol.
Record has defect you can hear when the needle passes thought that big red stain. But cool.

Why Vinyl is better than digital
Explain?
Just is... To me
Is that a Grand Theft Auto poster hanging on your wall
It’s a huge banner I got from GameStop the night GTA V first released, yep
