Great review Jason 🙂👍. I believe The Dalmore 12 year was the first single malt I've ever bought. I've tried to keep a bottle in my cabinet since then. This scotch sounds wonderful, thank you for sharing. Have happy and safe time off🙂
Please make a review about the De Luze Extra! Im a big fan of the XO, you also recommend so much. I would really love to know youre thoughts on the upper echelon of De Luze.
It is a descriptor or a word that gets the reader to think of wood flavor, dark wood if one could imagine tasting it. I know it’s rather vague but some reviewers in whisky do it and I fall into that category.
Haven’t had it, and stand corrected. Guess a port finish is not always great, but I must say I never liked much by Trconnell (Irish whiskey). But if we turn to Scotch whisky, I am hard pressed to name a port finish I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed. In any event, happy holidays!
Merry christmas. great conversation about a good whisky
Another great review 👌🏼 Cheers and Happy Holidays
Another great review, and yes, OBAN 14 has been a long-term favorite. Happy holiday season backatcha!
Merry Christmas Jason! Dalmore at over 46% is rare indeed, in fact I've never heard of them doing that.
It is certainly a bottling worth trying! Merry Christmas!
Thanks for the review Jason, all the best!
Thanks and have a happy New Year

Merry Christmas, Jason and a Happy New Year! 🥳
You might want to see if the Glendronach Port Wood is available in your area. It’s very nice and has many of the tasting notes you mentioned.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I had more of this Dalmore the other night and it is really quite amazing!
Happy holidays to you and yours!

How does this compare to the Glenmorangie Quinta Rubin? Big fan of that one!

Tyrconnell 10yo Port finished Irish Whiskey was a disappointment. 😢☹️
