Lablaws strongly believe that only THEY can price gouge Canadians.
😂😂
100%
💯💯💯.... I wish there was a better all around grocery Store besides Loblaws
Roblaws
It’s Loblaw .. no “S” they dropped the S 2 decades ago so they could restructure the union contract, paying the employees 5$ less/hr. and other cutbacks. Under law a name change in a company allows them to do this. I know, I was one of the employees.
Since when does Loblaws care about what they charge?
It’s not the charge, it’s how much the profit is for them
Loblaws are the biggest crooks. I don’t support them one bit
Boycott the store
Maybe because Trudeau is not in office to help them
That same coffee was $5 4 years ago, is now being sold for $15. That sounds like greed not inflation.
So don’t buy it.
Do you know where your coffee beans come from? LOL cuz I'm guessing you don't. Wait until you find out about Coco
$17 at my grocery store. The $3 coupon they gave me explained everything. I've bought coffee under $8 the last time I was there. Plenty of competition to choose from.
It's definitely greed
@@keiths576go online cafe copan is the best coffee! Shipped straight to your door
Wasn’t Loblaws just Forced into giving back money they’d overcharged for bread for years??? They don’t care about charging consumers more. What’s the REAL story here?
The tariff price Loblaws will have to pay to import it. That's the story. They won't pay the tariff.
What's new now you're going to have a run
My guess is that it is a PR move.
Meanwhile Canadians should pull out from shopping at Loblaws and shop elsewhere
I don't shop at Loblaws anymore, boycotting them.
Oh no, they're pulling garbage coffee off the shelves? Whatever shall we do?
Was thinking the same thing.
OMG I love your rhetoric! That's so hilarious! Thanks, I needed that laugh big time. 😂
So the best part of waking up is NOT Folgers in your cup? Have I been lied to?
That's what I was thinking, whatever shall we do without the nastiest coffee ever made?
😅😅😅😅😅
So, many companies post massive profits yet keep raising prices, citing "rising cost" when, in reality, it's simple price gouging. Companies should be forced to disclose their financial data to be allowed to raise prices legally.
THIS!!! You are a real wiseman
Perfect!
We should prevent companies from becoming too large so that rather than government involvement there's more natural competition in the market.
@@AmosMosesJr to prevent companies from becoming too large, that take government involvement
@beantheirishsetter yes, I totally agree but govt shouldn't be setting prices.
Grocery stores raised prices numerous times last year.
All the coffee brands have gone up in price. Coffee is starting to become a luxury item, it’s just so expensive now.
I have a program that gets the pricing information for all food products they sell... prices are changed multiple times a day. It's quite insane
Americans order ok e a lot cheaper on Amazon

As an American, Canada should pull Folgers off the shelves for the flavor alone. We know you have better taste in coffee than Folgers…. What’s next sanka?
LOL Sanka roflmao I haven't seen that brand in decades here. I'm sure it exists but why? lol
Remember looking for a cup of coffee in Scotland. The bars sometimes ofered Sanka. I passed

It's terrible coffee. Won't be missed.
Yes! Only this who don't know what real coffee tastes like would even consider it. And I has so many chemicals in it that I start hallucinating. And I am a heavy coffee drinker and never have this problem with other brands. And Canada always has ingredients that are banned in other countries l, and they tout their products as healthy.
its better than maxwell house

No coffee doesn’t come from the same sources. That’s a ludicrous statement. A friend of mine owns a coffee company and they grow their own beans - high quality shade grown in the Phillipines.
@@jonathanbelanger6574No, they don't. Coffee beans are grown in several countries, and are different even in specific regions in each country. Then there's the way they are roasted, fermented, etc.
Also, freshness; big brands may store huge amounts of beans for much longer than a small, "gourmet" company.
Loblows increases their prices 5 times a year and theyre mad about a conpany that does it twice.
That is because it hits them in the pocket
Not you
Just virtue.signalling to increase stock prices. They are full of beans. 😅😅😅
Maybe they can get rid of maxwell house too. It tastes like bitter water.
Yes Exactly
Yes indeed!!
I've stopped drinking coffee, the taste has changed.
It's full of chicory! You're correct It's bad.
Agree. Tasteless and unfriendly to the taste buds.
Who audits the prices in these supermarkets? It is unbelievable what’s happening in our country… prices are out of control
"Audits prices"? We live in a free market economy, the whole point is to charge exactly as much as you can get away with. If you disagree with this you disagree with the fundamental forces of Capitalism.
No loss. Terrible coffee
Finally, the U.S.A. can have all of the Folgers coffee back,it tastes disgusting and is gross.TRUTH!!!
Shiiiiid we don’t want it either😂😂😂
If you spread it on your lawn it will help keep raccoon and skunks from digging holes to find grubs
We don't drink it either. Probably why it has been selling outside of the USA lol
Which Americans might you be speaking of? I’m American and can’t stand Folgers.

That's GREAT news because my in-laws won't be serving that terrible coffee anymore!!!

Why is President's Choice coffee soooooo expensive.
They are asking $17-$21 here in Florida!! No one will pay that price
I agree we will drink tea and water it is more healthy 😅
That is just insanity. WOW😲
Same here in Detroit
$11 for the bigger container in CT... still overpriced.
Get accustomed to higher prices. As policies saying America was being taken advantage of will produce higher priced for consumers. Remember to thank your legislators if the are not in hiding.
In other words, Loblaws wants to charge you more, and pay suppliers less…
You are slow as hell
@@matt-sj9bsReally? How so? Though my statement is pretty apparent, they seem to be pushing things pretty far. Sobeys isn’t far behind them.

Loblaws knows over charging.
I don't buy that brand anymore, its extremely expensive now. Sobeys sell the decaf 600ml for $25. It was $9 two years ago. You can get the Mcdonald's brand for $12 on sale, better coffee anyways.
It’s gross, keep it away, no big loss
President Choice coffee went from 16.99$ to 21.99$ in about 5 weeks. Probably Folgers wouldn’t raise their prices to match and Loblaw kicked em out so they could corner the market. Doesn’t matter that Folgers is terrible coffee, ppl would buy it if it’s cheaper.
There so many other coffees to chose from and with a much better taste.
Haha like what?? None lol

I can confirm that as well. Used to buy Tim Hortons but stopped because of this. They also reduced the quantity they were selling per Tin.
I actually switched to Folgers after that becuase it was the only brand selling under $10. But not long after that, the prices went up to $12. And now here we are.

@dangal9366 Yea. They reduced the quantity by around 100 grams or so while continuing to charge the same price and later increasing that price. It was before 2020.
They know customers respond more harshly to price changes so they reduce quantity instead because it's less noticeable and will elicit a softer reaction.
