Hey Truant. So Phinehas is a Christian Thrashcore band. And this song, I am the Lion, the vocalist is actually speaking as if it were Christ speaking to us humans, saying, He is the Lion. I've seen these guys 3 times and every time, they put the best show on. And they are the most genuinely awesome people. They are all around awesome artists. I've never heard a bad song by them.

A few years ago an old band mate of mine was opening a show with these guys. I found out about Phinehas that way. Have seen them a number of times now and they are amazing human beings. Always willing to have a chat. The new guitarist Dan changes that solo a bit, it's super groovy. It's so hard to pick a favorite from these guys. I do like Forever West, it's got a great sing-along chorus. Glad to see you check out my favorite band man!

The guitarist has family here in Iowa or something, seen them at a tiny ass bar for like 50 people like 4 years ago. It was bananas. My dad (56) particularly liked it hahah

Saw Phinehas open for Ice Nine Kills back in July, as the show was getting closer to ending I sat and talked with their frontman for a good half hour and we just talked about music. Great dude to talk to and their music is kick-ass!

A pretty unknown band with a female lead. Her notes are guaranteed to give you the chills and her screams are better than any other female vocalist I've heard.
