  • Dear friends
Frankly, I don't expect you guys to give this sequel a standing ovation since the first chapter was not really well received, anyway many thanks to those who waited patiently for this sequel. Cheers, and hope to see you in the next video

Really like his truthful and honest view on the taste and price of the food he tasted, unlike some bloggers who are either being too diplomatic or kind to criticize bad or expensive food.
Kudos and respect to you Elmo. Keep it up, cheers!

Penang MSK is just so so and not as good as those from KL where most get their supply from Pahang.
However, Penang’s Balik Pulau varieties that I enjoy the most is
    1. Red prawn
    2. Hor lor
    3. Lipan (my absolute favorite)
    4. Capri
Anyway, good durian hunt video. Thanks for sharing 👍

One more thing: I like your videos a lot, humorous commentaries. Even though I am a local, there are still a lot of places I am not familiar with, and your videos about Penang have shown me places I should try out.
    Thanks!!!

Great sequel to this 2 part series ....... especially when the team was able to taste a good black thorn at a reasonable price @ Bukit Mertajam stop. The stopover at various points were interesting and gives a good "non pretentious" feelings of how the food tasted and the environment of that particular stop-over. Yatt Lau ! Mou Tak Deng ! The Nyonya Food at Penang Island saw that there was a good spread of nyonya dishes and it seems that everyone enjoyed the meal + the dessert. I would say that all the places visited would give everyone (including the audiences) a good foundation of what to expect at that location. Personally- I thought with that number of places visited (+ food haunting ! ) - it is a successful, insightful and memorable trip for the team. Thank you Elmo for sharing this with us and I had my share of durians too in Penang this season 😁🤤.

Thanks choong, I didn't know u like durians too. I wasn't sure that the audience would enjoy our tour documentation, thankfully your comments gave me great encouragement

I enjoyed - it is as it is ! No one can satisfy everyone’s expectations but it is good enough already to satisfy some people’s expectations!!! That’s reality - it is as it is 😁.

The pork porridge at Chowrasta still around. Two aunties selling, while the old uncle still prepares and brings over the porridge.
And you slept a night at the Penang Road police station?! Holy!

Wow u really know penang. FYI we didn't sleep in the cell, they allowed us to sleep in the bunks of the 2 constables on midnight duty. I'm sure tis service won't b available now, not like the late 60s

@@malaysiafood328 Because I live in Penang😄, island side.
But there are still many places I haven't go explore, especially at Seberang side. Thanks to your informative videos, I want to go check them out!
That sleeping-in-police-station story is really something 😀

    用眼睛跟着李生找吃。吃东西很“讲食神”,有时一心去找有名气的,偏偏就货不对办,又贵又不好吃;有时无心插柳,反而找到货真价实的无名小店。

Quite dissapointed with ur foods recommendations esp in Georgetown, most of the places are touristy eg. cendul at Penang Rd., which is much overated, can much better cendul minus the Q...most food bloggers will go places where local eats.

    • @malaysiafood328
      @malaysiafood328  7 дней назад +2

I liked tis cendol for its taste but if it happens to attract lots of tourists then it's sheer coincidental

I was born and raised in Penang but had moved out of the island. Still go back at least once a year.
I used to love eating cendol at both the stalls in Keng Kwee Street. Sad to say, nowadays I find the taste not as flavourful as it used to be. 😢😢😢
