I'm recovering from a year long court case of domestic abuse, slipped back into my depression and let my grades and relationships slip. I've been working to recover and am having the support of my s/o right behind me through it. The other day stress got the best of me and I had the worse panic attack, locked in my bathroom as I hid away from the rest of my family (I now live with my dad and his girlfriend)I'm slowly trying to open up even though it'll be hard. The constant thinking that I'm the issue is slowly passing by when I realize that I removed my previous life due to how bad it hurt me. I'm recovering from s/h, and just completed therapy! this is my first introduction to Krnb and I couldn’t be any more satisfied because this playlist is a masterpiece! I’m really into slow songs, so I’ve decided to finally embrace this genre at its fullest 🥺
Not that I'm an authority on music or anything, but I've been a musician most of my life, and grew up in the church in the U.S. where a lot of great R&B and soul singers and musicians originated, playing soul, R&B, Jazz, and Gospel... and coming from that culture, embodied in the music is a "mood" and a feeling that people fall in love with, and it's something that can't really be explained. You feel it and you experience it. It literally even leads to the creation of new life, lol. I'm sure that I'm extremely late to the party, but I these songs are really good! The thing that has to be understood is that this kind of music is more than just understanding music theory. This music is a feeling and a language. This music is culture. The rhythms... the chord progressions... the instrumentation... the vocal improvisation... and lyrical riffs... to pull all of it together to create good music is really impressive. I say all that to say, these songs are really good and I'm a fan!
You should definitely hear GSoul aka Golden, as he is the best. I've never heard a voice like his, he knows what rnb/soul means and besides, he was in a gospel choir in US. Sorry he's missing from this playlist.
