    Fantastic exploration of your use of clock divisions. You have me looking to buy a 2HP Div now…
    And your use of only clocks as the envelope trigger source is an interesting idea.

      Cheers Dan - yes a couple of 2HP Divs and anything is possible! - well as long as you have semi modulars with envelopes built in of course ... !

    Whuoooo 🤦🏻‍♀️❤️. All this... is Fantastic!!! Finally a truly instructive and interesting video for those like me who are new to electronics and have little knowledge of electronics. This is all I've ever wanted to accomplish despite starting my performances late. I love, I love TD. Since I was a child.. I recently created a set of Synths to create all this, but I have no Rack, only 960 beheringer, Maq 16/3 for sequencer. Synth Moog Sub 37 and An1x Yamaha. I have to equip myself for Ratchet, sincere Watches etc... You have made me happy with your Professionalism, Competence and Empathic Taste in your approach to Music/Sounds/that I adore. Thank you, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I would be happy to be in your presence learning and playing hours together 🙏❤️ My mentor

      Wow super complimentary - glad I can be of help. I deliberately kept it very simple at the start, well throughout really as I know some modular tutorials on RUclips, assume you know ALL the basics. This is one simple way to do things with clocks/gates/triggers and there are many more - I have done tutorials using Pams and Ornament/Crime and basic slider clocks in the past, but menu based eurorack modules are less performative for sure ... also coming up in a few days I have integrated Chaos (Marbles) and it breathes a lot of random/chance elements into the trigger (and notes) of this - will probably call it Joy of Clock II : Absolute Chaos :)

      Thanks Phil. Yes multiple ways to crack an egg. It all comes down to the creator in terms of what they need ... As I mentioned Pam's or dedicated ratchet modules or more menu based clocks all possible...for live performance though needs are different

    Whuooo 🤦🏻‍♀️❤️. Tutto questo... è Fantastico !!! Finalmente un video veramente istruttivo e interessante per chi come me è alle prime esperienze e scarsa conoscenza di elettronica. Questo è tutto ciò che vorrei realizzare da sempre pur cominciando tardi le mie performance. Amo, Adoro TD. Da quando sono bambino.. Ho realizzato da poco tempo un set di Synth per creare proprio tutto questo, ma non ho Rack, solo 960 beheringer, Maq 16/3 per sequencer. Synth Moog Sub 37 e An1x Yamaha. Mi devo attrezzare per Cricchetto, sincero Orologi ecc... Mi hai reso Felice con la tua Professionalità Competenza e Gusto Empatico di approccio alla Musica/ Suoni / che Adoro. Grazie grazie veramente di Cuore. Sarei Felice di essere alla tua presenza imparere e suonare ore insieme 🙏❤️ Mio mentore

    I just picked up a 4hp module called GP-82 from Maikshift Modular on Etsy. Grabbed it in kit form. It adds ratcheting and other cool cv features to the Behringer 182 sequencer. The creator Chris normally appears on Ranzee's Geekery live feed on Saturdays (2pm). Recommended Module!

    • @GaryHayes
      @GaryHayes  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks T3, yes had my eye on it for a while - it kinda does what I am doing already with the setup here (basically using a separate sequence, or 4 sometimes in my case to trigger events per step) ... using a clock divider's rate input to achieve ratcheting or overall tempo. I do like to operate the 'event' sequencer separate from the actual one though so that one can for example dial in ratchets which are not related stepwise to the main sequencer, which I think the GP82 only does that using a random function? But I do like things like the pause feature and the extra modulation in, especially the 'adder' for transpose and might get it just for that element

    Hi Gary, being a newbie to modular your tutorial video's are invaluable to me, so thank you for making them so easy to follow. I 'm starting with a very basic setup and using a 960 to sequence a Model D with clock coming from an NTS-1. The 960 audio runs into a Doepfer A138S mixer and then into the NTS-1. This works fine except that I can't get any effects out of the NTS-1 (reverb or delay) however if I play the notes on it then I get all effects. I'm running L & R mono patch leads from the A138 into a single mono lead into the NTS-1 and I'm wondering whether this is the problem and I should in fact be using 2 x mono to TRS into the NTS-1. Could I ask please what the audio feed into your NTS-1 is, mono or TRS. Thanks

    • @GaryHayes
      @GaryHayes  8 месяцев назад

      Hi Lynton - thanks! There is a global setting on the NTS1 that routes the audio in through its 3 effects chain ... you can decide on if you want it to come in on Modulation, Delay or Reverb or Bypass them all ... stereo in is fine. But check the quick start guide for NTS1 for the actual 20 second way to switch this

      @@GaryHayes Hi Gary, yes it was the global settings that needed to be changed, all fine now. Really appreciate your help with this, many thanks.
