I own a 2021 XC60 and it is badass in the snow. I live in Lake Tahoe and survjved the strom Of christmas 2021. The Volvo easily drove through extreme conditions (over a foot of unplowed roads). As the previous owner of a Suburban, I was shocked at what it was able to do.
In Sweden, that's just called getting to work in the winter on rural roads that the plows understandably get to a bit late in the day. Our main problem is staying on the roads when they get icy because no one has the sense to slow down. You can drive on ice (with proper tires), you just have to go at the speed of a tractor 😅
Hi, yes, im happy with this car. Im driving it 2months now. It is automatic AWD d5 151kw/205hp version. It consumes around 10L in city and 6-6.5L on straight roads. Engine is pretty quiet and wind noise is almost zero. For comparison how quiet it is - i can hear heater fan air flow when it is set only of 1/4 of speed. Louder engine is only in freezing winter mornings while engine and gearbox is warming up while driving.
@@ReinySP Thanks for the answer .... that volvo is a great car for me .... Tomorrow I'm going to watch a black one like yours in 2011 .... same d5 151kw😁😁😁👍👍
@@ReinySP nerus?? some kind of cheap china crap? bought once some chines brand, never again. michelin for me all the way. i would be nervous using nerus
@@robertduklus6555 I can afford them as well, but I dont have high speed motorways here and mostly I drive in city. Sometimes offroading and never stuck in snow. So Im totally good to go with these 7/10 tyres.
@@vdn999 Turbo wasn’t my thing. 850 N/A base model 5 speed was my first car (and still my daily) it’s sidepiped and slammed on $40 coilovers and chopped 850R springs now. After the N/A I bought an 850 t5. Then a pretty much full bolt on 850R (16t 18psi, big intercooler, big injectors, everything), Sold them both and kept the N/A. Too many problems.

Which year is it? Looks great while driving in the snow ❤ Mine is 2011 2.0L D3 but not AWD. Thinking of getting AWD
Its 2010
AWD is the way to go. Tanks in the snow
Michelin Cross climate tires.

Are you happy with that car? I plan to buy such a d5 151kw ... how much fuel it consumes what is the noise level in the cabin while driving
