Not gonna lie this video convinced me that i simply had to shell out the £26.00 for this. Im a chef and on a couple of occasions ive managed to make my own beef wellington from scratch except i bought the pastry in truth. Anyway the total cost of my home made wellington was £17.00 and was quite a bit bigger but thats only to be expected. I actually used pancakes inside the pastry before putting in the mushroom duxelle as i find that the juices from the meat inevitably make the base soggy and trust me the pamcakes are perfect as a vessel to soak up the juices. Sorry about the long comment but beef wellington is a serious classic and deserves a decent paragraph😂. Im enjoying your channel as its clean, direct and easy to watch. I had my own channel in 2018 and it was based on cooking quality food for as little money as possible and i had 9000 subs in a really quick time. Obviously sometimes you need quality ingredients to achieve quality results but i focused on getting the very best result from affordable prices. I deleted my channel in 2021 as i became very unwell when i contracted meningitis and could not continue with my channel as the disease left me disabled but im grateful to be here messaging you😊. Also i showed a lot of prep, cutting onions and veg and filletting fish and trimming meats etc although im no butcher. Just to let you know is that as your channel grows you will attract the haters ( they are everywhere) and i was trolled badly and thats why i ended up deleting my channel. I dont comment much but on this occasion your video deserved a comment as i really enjoyed it. Hope you grow and i for one, will be watching so all the very best to you and yours sir.
Nice review Blake. Actually made me hungry watching you eat that. I've never had beef Wellington either. At £26.00 it's quite a bit of money. But with Christmas just around the corner and with all the accompaniments that would make a lovely Christmas dinner. It would make a once a year treat.
Thank you, glad you are enjoying the channel. You're absolutely right about Beef Wellington being a serious classic. It blew my mind. Sorry to hear about your health issues, I've been through cancer treatment, although it is a very different disease, I do have some understanding of how difficult it is both physically and mentally. I'm glad you're still with us.
Good review Blake. You definitely deserve more followers. You should put some of you cooking your own recipes online, your plates always look well presented. Tempted to buy that beef wellington myself now! The only thing is I will say it’s a little on the expensive side. A better price point would be around £15 in my view.
I remember the days of spending 25 quid in Iceland and they would deliver it for free. Mad how times have changed. Anyway that beef Wellington looks good. After watching your review I think I'm gonna buy it for this Sunday mmmm
I’m starving watching this Blake it looks absolutely delicious mate 😋
Trust me, it tastes as good as it looks.
That looked so delicious. Made me hungry
@@AJ-sv5qg It tasted delicious too.

You can never have too much gravy.
Blake, great review, I've just watched this at 07:30, and i am officially now Hank Marvin....!!
Thank you. Hope you've had a chance to fill your belly.

Iceland Luxury Aberdeen Angus Beef Rump Joint with Beef Dripping Butter 1kg
Review, Maybe next?
That Beef Rump does look good. I'll keep an eye out for it and grab it if I can.
I'm not sure I have it in me to pay £26 for something from Iceland.
It is expensive but I really enjoyed it.
Gordon ramsay would be proud of that beef Wellington as its signature dish 😋
For sure!

@@BrianDavies-vh1vd Thank you for the kind words. It certainly isn't cheap but it was good, I have no regrets trying it at least once.
Wheres your mash it does look nice though, it's a meal for 2 people or 3 people at the most
I was actually going to have mash but decided on roast potatoes at the last minute.
Great review. Great channel.

@@josephvickers-r5t I’ve seen that in the shops, it does look good.
Looks very nice. Those carrots make a change.
The carrots were good.

It will be a banger for Christmas day.
@@BlakeKlopper Was gonna do one from scratch but me mum and dad think i'm rying to poison them if I do that so perfect.
I am not a big fan of wellington and have beef with it!
@@matthewetheridge4535 I don’t have any beef with Wellington, he’s my vegan friend.
