He's part of the tennis club and went to play tennis tournament (which means, he's been spending his time practising so he hasn't lost out on that) 3. He's going to have a very well paying job at Forrester even if he never finished high school... What's he not going to get out of life again? Not sleeping around and playing spin the bottle til he's 40?
I'm still trying to figure that one out. He can play dad as much as he wants, and then if he has to study or play -spin the bottle- tennis or something, Helen can take care of the kid. He has every advantage in life. What is he supposed to do that is so rewarding? Party every night? (And how would that affect his studies?)

It is as if she sees how utterly siIIy the whole plot is (especially the miscommunication between Rick and Amber), and she is determined to put them, and us, out of our misery. It only takes her a few minutes to figure out what Rick and Amber have been unable to realize for several episodes - that there is something they are not telling each other, and that this involves both of them seeing the other kissing another person. And she doesn't waste any time trying to set things right. _This_ is what makes Stephanie such a powerfuI character. She has the ability to solve problems for other characters (and for the writers). And this is also why the show sometimes has to come up with reasons to keep Stephanie _out_ of storylines that they don't want resolved too quickly. She was completely absent from the Venice storyline, for example. And what we are seeing now is a kind of "mirror plot" to the Venice scheme, only with Brooke in Eric's role and Rick/Amber in the role of Thorne/Brooke. But this time, we have Stephanie trying to counteract the effects of the scheme.
YES! This is a good example of your point that Stephanie can resolve problems and plots quickly (I remember you pointing this out as far back as the Anthony Armando storyline and why Stephanie couldn't be involved). As tiresome as this storyline is, the smartest thing they did was make it a struggle for plot-control between Stephanie and Brooke. Also once again Stephanie's presence in this storyline prevents Brooke from becoming the new Stephanie. There are times in this storyline when Brooke resembles the meddling matriarch, but Stephanie's support of Amber and Rick make them seem like the new Ridge and Taylor and thus the new Brooke is still the old Brooke trying to break up the super-couple.
