my additional tips (I'm still improving though) :Lagi ka mag English sa bahay hindi siya kaartehan, you're just enhancing and nakakabuild din siya ng confidence. Magbasa ng mga English books and facts, intindihin natin at lagyan natin ng accent o gumaya sa way ng pagsassalita ng mga taga ibang bansa para ma-feel mo at the same time ma-enjoy . And pag nagpapray ka sa Gabi o kahit anong oras try to speak in English kasi walang magjujudge sayo nun.Kapag may bagong word ka natutunan try to use it everyday para matandaan and maadd talaga siya sa kaalaman natin. Kapag nalilito sa pagamit ng isang word don't be lazy and search it para malaman o matama yung pag gamit natin. We can improve ourselves! keep learning. God bless ❤️

One of the biggest thing I learned is that you have to stop caring what other people think about how you speak. Remember, if you have an accent it means you know more than one language and that is something you should be proud of. We Filipinos love to be critical of each other. But that simply shows how insecure one is in their own ability. I am not saying that we shouldn't practice and expand our vocabulary, but we should stop overthinking on how we sound. As long as we can get our message across and our English is understandable, that in itself is an accomplishment. Do this enough and the fluency will follow. Remember even people whose primary language is english still make mistakes in grammar and pronunciation. English is a very difficult language to learn, so be proud kababayan that it is our secondary language.
But bro.for me i have a lisp..i having a difficulty to pronounce s sounds thats the reason that i have a kow self esteem and thats why during my job interview i did not pass..it makes me sick all day. Frustrated..
I am glad that I found this vedio in RUclips. This is very important for me as a BSBA 1st year student. I really struggle in my studies in times of oral recitation using English Language during our class, I cannot participate the activity of our class, it makes me feel down. Since natigil na po ako sa pag-aaral ramdam ko na bumalik ako sa grade school English ko. Last 2018, bumalik ako sa pag-aaral 1st year college ilang beses po ako umiyak kasi pakiramdam ko, ako worst student sa room namin lalo na English

This video is not a simple video, because in this video you will learn a lot things when it comes to learning english.
I remember when i was in grade 8, i enjoy my highschool days I don’t care what I’ve learned that time, Days passed until i was in Grade 9, i realize that i’ve learned more and more that i should memorized. We have to memorize in order for us to have stuck knowlegde.
I'm not yet proficient when it comes to using English, But Ma'am Audrey says it's not bad to try to write in english, you just have to accept your weakness to become stronger.

I remember i almost failed English when I was in first year highschool and that was the time when I was given a heart to heart talk with my English teacher, Ms. Dulay. Blessed to had her as my adviser at that time. She really ensured that she was taking care of her students as her own children. Thanks for people like you!

I live here in Australia and I did live as well in Saudi Arabia and the UK. I was not very good before but as years passes by I became very good. I could be able to communicate both spoken and written in superlative level. I started reading books and watching movies or TV series. Now, I am very confident to speak to anyone especially to natural born English speakers. Confidence can be developed through constant practice. I armed myself with good vocabularies and learned the proper pronunciation. I am 50 years old now and still learning more on how I can improve more to both written and spoken English.

Helu mam iv been studying eng for 4months now, I already adopted the British accent which London accent, I can say that, it's only in the beginning of the process are tremendously hard but eventually I got the rythym, now I'm literally using English to communicate/talking to people even native speakers, I'm not even fond of reading books, watching tV nor using dictionaries, there are some 3 ways I usually I do, here they are, vocabulary expansion , grammar and the most important thing I normally do is spoken English, since lockdown now, I have a plenty of time to train my English, my conversional skills now are getting better and better, the 1st thing I did when I started learning it, was knowing all those rules , like conditionals , past tense and all the tenses in English, , now I don't need to learn them, but only adding more vocabularies and its meaning/definition. I spend my time like 2 hours a day talking to people and even native speakers, the most important thing upon learning languages is to improve ur listening skills.

@@sylviaabedotapas9502 I'm still capable of making mistakes now, but the good one is ,I can say my thought in a simple way, in your 4 months been studying consistently , u can realize the uge improvement of your proficiency, at that time, you don't need a lot of translation in your head from ur language to English, as long as you can retain the consistency of ur training and speaking ability, just keep talking and don't mind too much the grammar , u can fix grammar after u made mistakes.

As for me po the best way to learn English is to master the 8 parts of speech and widen your vocabulary so that u wouldnt be using the same words over and over again. Reading could help too but if your vocabulary is limited it would be hard to understand. If you learn those, confidence will follow. In that way it would be easier to compose sentences whether in speaking or in written...

Tip 1:
Pwede kang manood ng mga english na shows tapos lagyan ng subtitles para malaman yung prounounciation at paano isulat. Pwede rin mga anime dub(kaso minsan nakaka-umay) tapos may subtitles.
Tip 2:
Pag hindi ka naman masyado nanonood pwede mo isearch yung lyrics sa kanta na english na gusto mo tapos sabayan mo lang din. Tapos minsan pakinggan yung singer kung paano nya pinopronounce yung lyrics.

Also useful tips: always watch english movies and listen carefully for the diction/pronunciation & comprehension. When at work try speaking english in natural way of commumication. Remember simple words are better & more effective than long complicated words. We can also improve our english by texting more in english even though in shorten forms, watch for correct grammar & rhetoric. Watch also for correct prepositions.

Helpful tips! I love the English language and most of the tips you mentioned, I consciously practiced growing up. My dictionary back then was battered with Stabilo highlights.
On the one hand, however good you are in English communication if you are working in the Middle East best that you level your English communication including vocabulary at its basic to be understood. On the other hand, if you are talking to a native English speaker then you switch to speaking proper English. I see how good Filipinos are adapting to different nationalities in terms of communication.

For these past few days, I was trying to search and learn more about English. I tried to listen English before and while I asleep. I even trying to write my comments in english though I am not good at it but as ma'am said I don't need to be shy. I won't mind of what will others think of me as long as I have the heart to learn. I just wanna share my notes taken from your video.
1.ACCEPTANCE: If I accept my weakness, it will be easier to address. And making mistakes is part of learning. So in learning
english language, I must forget the saying "Less talk, less mistake." Because using it in talking or speaking is one of the fastest
way to improve.
2.WILLINGNESS TO LEARN
: English speaking skill is certainly not among the things that can be learned
overnight. You must invest time, effort and energy because this is one of the most complex language, but also, one of the most
beautiful and profitable language.
3.BE OBSERVANT
: Observe carefully how grammars and sentences have been organized.
4.BE A WIDE READER: Intentional reading. When we are reading, we unconsciously learning the language that we are reading.
Maybe that's one of the reason why a grade 5 Filipino student like me is somehow able to speak a bit of english. I really love
reading.
5.WATCH ENGLISH MOVIES OR VIDEOS
6.WIDEN YOUR VOCABULARIES or STOCK OF ENGLISH TERMS
7.TYPE EVERYTHING CORRECTLY
: It's interesting! I remember when "jejemon" texting started to become popular, some of my
friends had noticed that i wasn't adapting the trend, that I continued using "complete' words. I didn't really know
at that time why I was fond of typing complete words. What I now know is that doing so helps in learning.
8. PRACTICE: I should be willing to accept HELPFUL CRITICISM from others.
Keep on practicing because the "law of exercise" means, "The more we practice something, the more it will become easier
sooner or later."
In my experience, I can say that these 8 tips worked very well.

I have a lot of learning and I realized to myself that I have to enhance and improve vocabularies words, Self-confidence, boost my capacity on my written and spoken language, and also, I have learned great that should always read highly intellectual and facts and to make a practice through spoken, reading, writing, listening the English Word/languages and intentionally to learn and improve in English languages.

Though I am very old, I don't want to stop learning English. Ang galing mo na ang ganda mo pa, paano kang hindi matuto ! ! ! Really we need a good English teacher like you in all schools in the Philippines. The quality of our students speaking the English language is at its lowest ebb.
