I will forever be grateful for being introduced to quality people like Stephanie Pomboy, Ted Oakley, Michael Pento, New Harbor guys and RIA guys. Many other very interesting points of view, too many to list. Thank you Adam.
Adam, you are the best. I don’t know how you replace someone who’s irreplaceable Too bad they just can’t write you a big check and make you stay. I will catch you on the other side.
Same. Our family farms grains, lentils and canola in Saskatchewan. Every year the weather is different and there seems to be only a miniscule amount of warming over 50y.
Does he know a Combine harvester is one million dollars a sprayer is 550k a new tractor is over 1k a horsepower and tractors can hit 700 hp. One farmer on farm4profit podcast had 9 tractors, last years maintenance bill was 290k. Fertiliser costs have doubled, gas prices have doubled. Russia is still huge in grain markets, Brazil is massive, the USA no longer has the dominance it used too. I would love to see analysis of so called superior returns. I can show you the bones of people who went into farming without understanding the risks and the complex systems. Iowa farmland has been selling as high as 30k an acre, 2.195 million for 73 acres. Low interest rates have pushed farm prices to records and returns have stayed the same. If you can get %5 in a bank deposit you will be way ahead of any farmer I know.
Adam’s departure came on so abruptly you know there’s a back story there. The week before the Wealthion conference he was talking about upcoming videos he was planning for the audience. He will be sorely missed, a top notch host and interviewer.
If you want to screw up go into farmland thinking farmers are all idiots and don't know how to value land. Farmers have a strong emotional attachment to land and always pay to much, returns are low hence low debt levels, Farmland simply put, cannot service large debts. Land is crazy expensive based on returns and these investment vehicles add layers of complexity and cost. Then add weather and commodity prices.

This presentation suggests that farm land value is based on scarcity rather than productivity or cash flow. This REIT seems like it is in the business of flipping farm land based on capital improvements, added value, and scarcity. But It doesn't really sound like a practical asset class for individual investors. They say you can make a small fortune in wine grapes, just as long as you start with a large one. 😉 Corporate agriculture has forgotten that they're not growing money, they're growing food. Crop diversification and rotation is the only process that makes sense.
Amen . Agree 100 percent. In Iowa farmland is going for 12,000 @ the low end for high quality soil. In my calculations , if a person needs to get a bank loan for 80 percent @ 6 to 8 percent interest rates And current commodity prices . It would very likely never pay itself off without appreciating land values.
@@goeyboy I have no idea if he actually sold it but he is stepping down. And he just got back from VidCon or wherever he was. He spent an awful lot of time and effort building the brand to just walk away but then again, he has met so many people and his mom just passed - I’m sure there is a story in there but he probably can’t talk about it yet.
A company like Fundrise needs to step in and create a crowdfunding option so the middle class can invest in farmland. $100K minimum is out of reach for most people.
@@junal27he's not involved anymore he made that plain. Also he made it clear that he basically ran the channel how he wanted so going forward its unlikely to remain the same.
Regarding farmland I have been interested in seed-drills and no till, which tend to better hold the soil down, and other soil preservation techniques, perhaps a catchment or something to prevent soil from running off and regenerating ground covers, composting etc.
I am a farmer, and land has gone up so high that it will never pay off. Investors have driven the price here in Kansas to 3000 per acre and up. Meanwhile grain prices are dropping. How do you think that works out? And about organic farming, no till farming requires chemicals to kill weeds.
I live in the south where cotton grows particulaly well. I am slowly buying up farm land in my area and plan to break it into smaller plots to be farmed by my "partners" on a percentage basis. My "partners" won't be callled share croppers though since the term has bad connotations. I'm thinking of calling them "shared agricultural associates".
I am fully supportive of well managed good organic farming practices. Unfortunately, some of the most abused acres that l have seen, with next to no production, has been "organic" land.
As an organic farmer for 15 years, I find the number of (faulty) assumptions in this video a bit to high for my taste. In my head I just see the 30 different farmers driving 30 miles with their equipment to farm different small plots. Economies of scale is becoming pale.
Let's screw up farm real estate costs too. Geez.. making real estate an investment vehicle is the root cause of house inflation. Exploiting a scarce limited resource ultimately driving up food costs.
I’m convinced from how uncomfortable Adam appears that I’m not going to like the future Wealthion and that he’s likely been pushed out. I’m unsubscribing as a result.
Big investment firms are destroying home ownership in America. Once they figure it out, they will be hoarding farmland and driving up the costs of food. The damage that institutional investment has done to global stability over the last 15 years really makes me question whether speculation is systemically good for society.

Gonna miss you, buddy. My days feel empty! It’s like losing an old friend. Best of luck Adam. Hope you sold Wealthion to someone for $millions!
Wait, he sold Wealthion?

It's my understanding that Adam didn't own it
Will miss you, Adam! Best of luck in future endeavors.

I am trying to start one. It's been my dream for 10 yrs.
As a small scale organic farmer, I really enjoyed this Adam. Thank you. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors.

We will follow you in your next channel
So where die adam his video go?
Wealthion without adam taggart is like Spicy Chicken without the spice. This does not look good.
Give them an opportunity, Adam if still involved will have his contribution to keep the quality
It'll be fine
I agree 👍

I have shares in Farmland Partners and I have looked into crowd-funded farmland but haven’t pulled the trigger on that.
What a great discussion. Glad you discussed permaculture and soil health.

Can I invest into farm land in the US as a foreigner who doesn't reside in the US? If yes please how do I reach out to you personally?
The backdrop screams WinXP more than available farmland, but we see what we're trained to see.
It’s a keyed in picture of Walla Walla. He’s not standing outside.
Economic investigator Frank G Melbourne Australia is still watching this very informative content cheers Frank as subscriber to this channel 😊
I suggest the new Wealthion team to invite Adam and Lance each friday for a market recap😉
Nice Windows95 background!
you are the wealthion founder yet dont own any percentage of the company???
Bye Adam 😢
I’ll join you .. 😢😢😢

That farmland in the background is in my town. The home of Adam West, onions, and wine.

Like a good neighbor, StateFarm is there.

But since when the fuck did u become everyone’s neighbor?

Is Gates dumping on retail?😅

Farmland 🌽🐂🐖🐄 in the Philippines 🇵🇭 🐊 🦈 🐍
You can't own land there.
FPI has been flat fo e awhile , which is not bad compared to other industry assest that has nose dive or bankrupt like WeWork........
All the best to you and to your family, Adam …You will definitely be missed !!!
“higher value crops” aka booze. I wonder if wine grapes are currently as regulated and taxed as legal cannabis?
Absolutely not! Not here in North Cali.

bill gates is an amazing farmer feeding everyone
Well the timing is different as well.
This type of investment seems only for experts.
Gonna miss Adam, but thank you!!
If this was really Adam taggart, where is the wood in the background? This is a deep fake.

We have 25% of good world’s farmland - not if we keep paving over it!
Ah, farmland. The "other" Bitcoin as they say.
Adam is a friend ❤️
A guy builds a channel from the bottom and gets booted out by “new management.” Unsubscribing and done with Wealthion…
So what you’re saying is, soon we will all become winos and have very little to eat except cheap wheat?! 😉
Nobody would replace Adam! Adam, could you please run your own RUclips channel that is solely owned by you?
