Hi Emily. I have this same machine. I use it for adding names to baby blankets. I can't seem to get the names big. I have tried changing to the large hoop and it still only does the 5x5. Any suggestions?
Honestly I hardly do names. I use an external program for things because I find editing anything related to embroidery easier on a computer than on the machine, then I transfer the files to the machine. Software opens up a whole other world of editing, fonts, and programs like Embrilliance, SewWhat Pro are pretty easy to learn with a lot of online support. I'm sorry I'm not more help with built in fonts! :(
It does not. You purchase it separately for the 860. If you cannot find it in Elna, it's a high shank 9mm Janome walking foot, look on the Janome website for the Janome 9900 part number.

Does the elna 860 have an integrated walking foot or does it have to be purchased separately? Can't find anything online 🙁. Thanks, Mary
