Yes!! Me, myself, and I had a serious talk. No more giving away stuff just because I don't want to buy more totes. Folks are already getting items without sales tax and a discounted price. I'm so over family stopping by, shopping my stockpile, and saying "I'm give you X". Nah, you're not telling me what my time and effort is worth. I'll tell you. I mentally had to change my mindset from being more concerned about family saving because they can do this too, they just don't want to because they consider me their workhorse. I coupon, do DG remodels, and extreme hidden Walmart, HD,etc hidden clearance so they have access to everything from toothpaste to chainsaws. Love'em but no màs. I'm just wondering do you sticker things individually or do you keep a price list printed. I tend to forget due to medical issues that's why I ask. Thank you for an amazing video and yes our friends and family are a hot mess😂, wanting to pay what I paid. Girl miss me with that!
Lol 😂...exactly "miss me with that" sooooo over people, ugh. I don't tag each item, I label the table/bin/box and since the store stays set up, the prices are always visible. A price sheet is a great idea, though, if you're not able to keep a space set up as a store.
I used to give away my stuff extra cheap to my friends and I stopped doing that because everything is expensive and we don’t get good P&G coupons anymore.
I resell my stuff at my local flea markets.

Hey girl I started selling to my fam and friends and thankfully they don’t to hassle down too much. What I started doing is paying my mom with products for babysitting so now she goes to her friends and sells and she is loving it she is retired so it gives her something to do and she is making money on the side.
I just had a stockpile sale but I just did a $1 table and a $2 table - it just helps my community. I’m in alaska so we have to save cause everything is high!

I do try to do fun things with my sales also, like I have a prize wheel I let them spin when they make a purchase with prizes of things we get free with couponing or clearance, like calendars, biofreeze patch or discounts of like $1 of their next visit!
Hi Michelle, I like that idea price wheel, fun. I usually keep a basket out with samples (stuff we get from beauty events) and let people pick a few things. However, lately none of that...with the extra frugal crowd aka the nickel and dime ppl.
I changed the way I sell by listening to My customers. Bundles used to sell well now most want to pick the items. I now have my store on an app and thanks I set a min buy amount.
Smart! Do you mind sharing the app? Bundles never sold well for me, it's hard to determine what people need.
If you are close enough to a college or have a bunch of college age, shoppers or college kid age, parents consider doing a back to school bundle and use all of those items that just really didn’t move I did that last year did a $20 and $40 bundle Yes they got Armen Hammer laundry detergent and I’ll tell you what the parents were super stoked. I used a bunch of the back to school items like highlighters and such as fillers and I think I sold about 25 of them. I just put a little something all college kids need laundry detergent, toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, body wash, not the good stuff BTW. A few highlighters. Some of that Speed stick deodorant we got last year as money makers, and shipped them out the door just a suggestion for the extras.
Yea, I used to do back to school bundles, but find in my area people don't like bundles as much...so everything is individually priced. However advertising a BIG sale as a "back to school sale" would definitely get people in the door.

I have a 8 month old grandson and my daughter lives in NC and I’m in Pa I’ve been trying to sell my whole stockpile because I’d like to move closer too them tons of work because I have a whole storage unit filled with DG remodel items and Walmart clearance I give myself till spring or the year after
That storage unit makes the perfect store front....aim for once a month sales.

I had a 3 day garage sale a couple of weeks ago and I did fantastic! I made 2700. I have garage sales twice a year. This was the first time I did 3 days. I had the same issues with hand soap & the men's care body wash😮

I usually give a few bundles to a family friend. I usually charge her $30. I gave her 3 times the usual this time. She seemed shocked when I told it was $60 this time. I gave her over $300 worth of products. I'm no longer just giving my stockpile away.

Congratulations! You did a great job! I don't coupon as much as you do. I don't have the space to contain it. So I focus on what we need as a family. I've never had enough to do a stockpile sale. But that's exciting. Good tips though! Definitely makes it worth your time and effort.
Girl, I sold all my stockpiles. I left it in the trunk of my car. The detergent was left upstairs in my house, and I sold them in bundles. Also, do some networking. I found a friend who knows so many people, and I got all my clients from her, and I give her free stuff to get clients.

@Melanie McCulloch I was giving my stuff away to my so-called friends, and I stopped. It's too much work, money to be giving it for free. Michelle is right they are buying it at the store but not from you. Sometimes they can't see people making a descent buck!

Just make it's a legitimate charity that will give you an itemized statement for you to file with your taxes. I would do that with items that aren't moving quickly. Check with your tax specialist. Thanks for all the tips! I stopped selling when C*vid hit and we lived off of my stockpile. I was selling on OfferUp but ppl want Dollar Tree prices for stuff bc they think you got everything for free as a couponer! I can’t stand it! I want to start selling again bc bills but now I’m in an apartment and don’t have space and the storage unit places are gouging 😮 will have to put on my thinking cap and figure something out
When I first started couponing, we lived in a 1 bed room efficiency apartment, I uses every closet, cabinet and corner to store things...you can do it!!
Yes girl you just need to think out of the box. I have plastic containers under my bed for toothpaste and toothbrush, floss. I found a mental shelf small but very tall I have all of my deodorant, makeup and small items. You can make it work.
The most important thing you just said solves so many problems in so many areas of all our lives. Apply it to everything! Family, work, everywhere apply it. "You teach people how to treat you by what you allow, what you stop, what you reinforce." I read that quote on Pinterest many years ago. So basic, yet so true!

Great video, I have been couponing for 3 yrs and penny shopping 2 yrs. I have 2 she sheds w/crates galore... Been wanting to have sale, but I get nervous, can't quite get to selling. I still use your rubber band idea with the shampoo and conditioner and sell it as a set. I keep a picture folder in my phone of "needs a mate" so if I have to buy mismatched, it will eventually end up matched.
Yep! I don't like selling them separately, you always end up with a ton of mix matches, which IMO causes you to miss a sale. I keep a running photo gallery too.

I sold some of my stockpile at my subdivision garage sale and some people want it for virtually nothing because they know couponers pay very little. I said where’s my time and gas? I need to make some profit off of what I pay. I’d rather donate it to charity rather then sell it for no profit.

As you were talking I was saying I totally get it family want a discount and what I don't get is when they go to the store they pay full price but selling to them at a discounted price is already a savings and then no tax I even heard I can get this cheaper at the store well why you didn't go to the store that part.

Everything you say I CAN RELATE,,and girl,,it's so so so true ..last garage sale I put items in boxes priced them ..3 for 5$, 3 for 10$. 2 for 5$ ..etc ..I hold on to paper products ..BUT ..IF ..I HAVE EXTRA EXTRA ..I PUT A SCOTT T.P.A SCOTT P.TOWEL AND A DISH SOAP ..SERAN WRAP IT ..10$ .it seemed to sale ALOT easier BUT YES, GIRL ...I GET tired of stupidness...I have a friend that well be broke and call me and say ...IM OUT OF LAUNDY DETERGENT I NEED SOME ...WELP...YOU BETTER FIND MONEY CUZ I DONT GIVE CREDUT ..LMBO.....PRICE DIAL ..3 FOR 5 ..people see that and feel like they getting a steal♥️

I really enjoyed your video!! I have recently started selling to my coworkers and will add toothpaste as a thank you. The ladies will buy things here and there but none of males want razors, shave cream or bodywash. I'm trying to clear out these Gillette exfoliating razors and they won't buy em! 😡 Haha. I have a small stockpile I'm trying to clear up. My next goal is to stock up on more laundry. That's their main request.
I buy the always discreet for my mom. I remember when they were on the spend 30 deal, which was great, but she only uses the number 5 ones. I brought her some number four ones and she told me not to bring her those again! Haha. It sucks the smaller count doesnt come in a 5 but oh well. Glad you got yours down!

I don't know what it is with the men products not moving...I got a ton of those Gillette razors too, I'm going to put all things men in bundles and post on Facebook and offer up 🫰(bodywash, shave gel, razor, bodyspary/deodorant). Haha, it's that how it goes, we get a great deal on something and go crazy, and then get hit with the ""NOPE, not those"" 😂

i had a yardsale a couple of months ago. everything was super cheap except for the laundy. i really wanted to get rid of stuff, which i would have accomplished that, had it not been for my sister. she thought that was her stuff....she would say that is $ in the store. i said i know but that is not what i paid. i really don't try to make money. i don't want to lose money though. i donate tons...which makes me feel good.

Noticed your softsoap hand soap was priced at $3 each or 2 for $5. How much is it at Walmart in your area? Here it is $2.47 per bottle for the 11.25oz bottle.
Also, I am so jealous of your set-up.
They recently went up to $2.97 😔, and inflation is real...😔, maybe people haven't realized these went up in price, alone with everything else! 😳 At all the stores 😕. My setup is pretty sweet and that's a another plus!! You ain't shopping in nobodys dirty garage...so stop trying to haggle 😤.

One question: do you limit the item quantity? For instance, I had customers who would want to come and buy almost all of the Gain liquid or 10 Tide Liquid. So if I did want to sell bundles at a later date I would not have an adequate variety items on the shelf. I have a limit of 4.
