Looks very similar to other leveling guides, like Palsteron’s. Efficacy vs viciuos projectiles. Also raider vs pathfinder off course.
@@zikjegaming6652 I had to check it because your comment made me curious but literally everything in both guides is different. Different skill gem choice for leveling, different passives, different ascendancy, different target build.
This PoB has problems, the equipment section is missing.
All my frens are starting TR pathfinder, I'm the only one starting TR raider.

Raider has always been the best TR Ascendency. The only thing that’s appealing PF is the Withering + effect, but it’s still not even close in terms of speed and quality of life.

Thanks for the guide, Asmo. I was planning to league start your (later Impervious) Toxic Rain Trickster from last league. Is there a reason why you actively decided against Trickster and chose Raider?
Yes, the main reason is that I want my character to be as fast as possible on day 1 gear because of the strategies I want to run.

TR ballistas have good uptime so they're generally better for bossing and the pathfinder has better recovery which makes it tankier (also great for bossing). Raider goes fast and I wanna go fast ;) It depends what you prefer.

@@frankpoulsen4749 Ballistas will have better single target dps on bosses by a decent margin

thanks for the vid i"m a big fan of your videos. Can you make a gear guide for this raider guide? I followed your build last league for TR but since mana res is getting changed i"m interested how to go about auras. Also for the other TR PF builds they mostly seem to ignore ailments (besides extinguish and cannot be frozen on boots). How are you going about protecting yourself for ailments? Same as last league with chance to avoid ele ailments on gear or some other means?
Raider 50% + Three step assault + passive skill tree early on gives you the 100% ailment avoidance. When it comes to mana, I've made a video about all the ways you can solve it ruclips.net/video/2Xl-e9inOuM/видео.html figure out whatever works best for you, there are a lot of options. I'm going to essentially follow my turbo tr raider setup from previous leagues and fix mana with things like jewels: ruclips.net/video/EG9QD9wXnFI/видео.html

You can anoint "Dreamer" early on, and get rare jewels with %reduced mana cost, it will help a lot

I did your Soulrend expedition farm as a league starter for the past 2 leagues and it was super fun. But with nerfs to Wither effect and Chaos masteries idk, maybe I should try something else

Why Raider instead pathfinder? I was about to start with PF but now i'm confused :S
Pathfinder doesn't really offer much anymore for TR compared to Raider, IMO. Also Raider's early access to frenzy's, onslaught makes her super fast for leveling and stacking up tons of TR's

I'm not sold on Raider. Having withered on hit is really strong plus you can get similar uptime and effect of onslaught with just a silver flask on Pathfinder. I'm just looking forward to having crazy good recovery with the new health flask node.
@@GiBB3D I think you slightly confused, you can get withering support and slap it on TR ballistas and TR ballistas are great additional damage. Raider beats PF period. Easier to cap spell suppression and get onslaught and phasing. Which saved you a lot of skill points.
Pathfinder with its new changes to me is literally the worst ascendancy that ranger has by far. Has nothing going for it now aside from flasks, they removed the good skills and split the remaining ones up even further and called it a revamp.
Edit: now that I look at it they literally moved aoe and more damage with chaos from PF and gave you a withering touch support as an ascendancy, when we didn't really need it.
@@MrBlvdman sure, you can run Withering Touch Support, but it's not the most optimal link. Not only do you get wither on hit, but 50% increased effect of wither which is big since they nerfed the node on the main tree. The AoE is an easy solve since you only want exactly 39% anyway which is solved by the mastery, quality on gem, and an AoE mod you would craft onto ammy/gloves probably anyway.
I'm not going to go back and forth with you, it's a matter of preference. If you can't see the potential in Pathfinder I just kinda feel bad for you.

yeah its super smooth early on. especially if you get a quill rain or something. obv there are better bows later on but raider has super smooth leveling.

It's less damage in general, but you can use it in ballista totem setup for faster wither

New to PoE. Why do you put the same skill in multiple slots?
One of them is supported by Ballista Totem Support - turning it into totems I can plant while shooting the other one myself

Im new and dont undertand what he means
Probably you already know and its a late reply but in case not.
Then you copy the text and paste it into the vendor's search bar, so it highlights the items you want to buy, instead of looking each one yourself.
How is the raider going to compare to the new pathfinder?

Pathfinder will be easier for non top tier players cause it will be super tanky. This is the first raider 3.21 build guide I’ve seen so far. Most are going pathfinder

I always take haste, i dont see how grace should make me tankier
