Father Mark was a seminarian and then a deacon at our parish and we had the privilege of watching him be ordained. He has truly been called to serve God and he lives out that calling each and every day. You have all been greatly blessed having Father Mark lead you in your faith journey... especially the children and teens. Our kids definitely had an excellent role model for their faith in Father Mark.

I first met Father Mark after he was ordained and appointed to Our Lady of Mercy in Aurora. It was clear from the start of his priestly ministry that he was going to be a special priest. I remember looking around church when he preached and saw all the young people paying close attention to him and what he was saying. That was amazing. Fr. Mark looks so young and the young people of your parish will be attracted to him and listen to what he says. That’s a very special gift he has. We need strong Catholic families who come to church weekly as a family. This is sadly lacking in my small church. The parents don't go so therefore the children don't, even though they all attend Catholic highschool and elementary school.
