Thank you for watching... In this video I share with you the Arc'teryx Assault Pack. I have been wanting to test and review this pack for years. It was one of the first packs with a U shape design opening. This pack allows you to setup your own organization without many drawbacks. Arc'teryx's gear is always solidly built and will stand the test of time.

Arc never disappoints, neither do you; another great review. Thanks George.
Arc'teryx makes some quality military grade packs, but for 399 bones, they should've found a way to make it filet, and still stand up on its own while closed. Thanks for sharing. One.
The bag was designed to lay down and fully open up to access all contents. This is why it won't stand up. They are good bags, but definitely purpose built.
I love your delivery style. Thanks for the great review and look at the bag.
I love your reviews, you are very thorough. I saw this pack online and went straight to your channel. Keep doing what you are doing.
I love the "Ninjas Activity" comment. If that was a patch, I'd buy it. Thanks again for the post and great content!
This pack is the best. I use this pack for everyday (30l) and the 45 l for travel. Love the low profile you get if you remove the bungy cord. Awesome review! Keep it up, greetings from Sweden 😎🤙🏽
I always tell people that Arcteryx Leaf is super pricey. It’s hard to justify spending that amount but it’s bombproof. I have an Leaf Atom LT that I’ve used and abused over 5 years but it still works and keeps me warm.
Your reviews are awesome! Super in depth!
Everytime i‘m searching for a new pack - your channel pops up😅
Thanks George for the review. $399 plus another $100 to $120 for the pouches. Ouch in the wallet. It's made in Canada. I can get a made in the USA Goruck pack at that price.
Another great review. Thanks George!
Great vid! What a pack! I love your honest and in-depth review. If I was more of an operator this bag would be more appealing. When you say Arcteryx, the X is like Chex Mix. ArcterikS.
You are number one on the bags. Thank you so much. I learned a lot for you. 👍👍👍👍
Hey George, you can definitely see this pack in the Eberlestock Switchblade, Vanquest Ibex, Tasmanian Tiger Modular 30 etc. That's a fine looking pack for sure
im glad you finally got ahold of your grail...ENJOY...my grail is a T.A.D fast pack lite speed it's just so damn expensive...i sling my edc but when i need two straps the mystery ranch 18 assault is it for me...simple and durable as hell and the price point is perfect bang for buck...SALUTE George
Minimal video, well explained and good editing. Subbed.
sick pack! Thanks George!
Great material as always
After 2 years with Arc'teryx Assault Pack 30 as an EDC/1 day trip backpack I passed it on Vanquest Ibex 25. I regret delaying it for so long. In Arc'teryx I missed a well-made back panel, straight stiff fluid does not breathe. no matter if Arc'teryx is full or empty it always looks the same. Which is a big plus. Regrets that the Ibex 25 does not have the "stiffness" of the Arc'teryx. You can pack a lot into the upper pocket of the Arc'teryx and the backpack does not "collapse inside". At IBEX you can't do that anymore. It's a pity that I didn't know that you want to buy, I would sell you my model because it's been in the closet for a year now.
The pack is designed to be worn over body armour, hence no padding on the rear panel. The side pockets have no gutters for the zip at the top and they let water in when it rains. High viz interior pockets wouldn't cut it with the military application of this backpack.
I have owned all sorts of packs including Triple Aught Design and the Arcteryx is in another league in terms of materials and stitching.
The interior is cavernous and works best for EDC using loose pouches for different items. Using the Velcro hook and loop tends to restrict the use of the rest of the space inside.
Works best with low to medium loads. Heavier loads would work when worn over body armor.
I have the crocodile color and it looks awesome. Some images of the bag make it look more coyote brown in color but it is a combination of ranger green and coyote.
Shame they stopped selling them to the public.
Love it! I have a Arc'Teryx that is the same idea but a bit bigger; and I am very impressed with the quality. Having a smaller one would be terrific.
Thank You George!
The packs are tall so going through doors and tight spaces are no problem ideal for urban assualts etc. And no hi viz inner due to military needs George. A cheaper alternative is the Camelbak HAWG which is also an excellent pack.
Makes Sense
Yep, narrow to follow the torso through spaces, but short/low top to allow the wearer to wear a helmet without hitting the top of the bag.
I love this pack, great review! Such a functional pack but built for a purpose. I'd say it's unlikely they do "high-viz" in a LEAF product as they are made for folks that work in the dark - but that would be interesting. There is a company, BEAMS - located in Japan I think - that modifies Arcteryx stuff. I could see BEAMS doing something with high viz lining maybe....
This is the Arc’teryx LEAF Assault Pack 30 right ? Great video always enjoy your content
Yep
$400.00 holy S$%T that's peak for a MID size pack. Great review!
Morgan State Alumni, had to subscribe to your channel. Need your opinion, torn between Black Ember Shadow, Evergoods 24L, and Tom Bihn Synapse 25?
🤗 très bon sac !
Cool review! try to find contrasting colors so the bag doesn’t disappear in your footage black on black is hard to see
I do believe the Arcteryx pack was the original design, but it really hasn't changed at all since it first came out. I still have my first generation Vanquest IBEX 30, which is a virtual clone of this pack. Vanquest didn't come up with the design first, but I think they did it better. The current generation is so feature packed, it's hard to even compare to the Arcteryx one anymore.... And to boot, for about half the price.
I have an awesome bag . Came here just to hang out
Have you done a review on the vertex gamut overland ?? New here. I think I might buy the 511 32L bag :)
It's on my list.. looks awesome
The score and atliens are both great albums
Classics
Whoa this new hip bg music 🎶 I likey
So was this a keeper? Still using it? How about an update?
Here i thought the mantis was the assault lol hahahha
Thank goodness i doubled checked again XD
I need that laptop stuff XD
Very cool design ideas. Not sure I like having to release the compression straps all the time.
You don't, I tend to leave my top compression strap just loose enough for the zipper to move back and forth under it.
Awesome pack 😎🤙🏻💪🏻
Would be a great get home pack, if you have money to burn lol. Sick pack!
Unfortunately, Arcteryx Assault 30 is now only available to active duty members and law enforcement officials. A shame as it will drive eBay prices up.
