Nelly Furtado had one of the most bipolar music careers ever; from 2000 when she started her career with the songs I’m Like A Bird & Turn Off The Light; then she was forgotten after that for 5/6 years and then suddenly comes back with the Loose album bringing her back to the top (2006-2007) and then her disappearing again ( sucks the new generation will never know how good she truly was in her peak )
@@FSportuguese Can you please tell Some Random Guy to upload a video onto RUclips that features 100 songs that turn 10 years old in 2021? Because, 10 years ago, British female pop star Adele released her sophomore LP, 21, which features her 2011 mega smash hit, "Rolling in the Deep".
Absolutely! Driving, catchy beats. Crystal vocals with excellent range and control. Unique melodies inspired by the 80s but reworked into something totally unique. That entire album is golden.
Musically a very strong year - every genre at its peak and co-existed. All these songs still sound very good today. I remember Texas Lightning - everyone thought it would have won Eurovision for Germany that year. Lordi was deserved, but that song had such a charm. Personally, it was a poor year for me - a nervous breakdown, a temporary relationship breakdown and a lot of these songs I can relate too. 'Goodbye My Lover' was played at the funeral of my late ex who died young at the age of 32 in 2014 and it is a very special song to me. Perhaps one day we'll reunite Richard. Xx
The year I graduated from 8th grade and started high school. Wow...these songs sure take me back to that time, and I can't believe it's been 13 years. Kids who were born then are almost the same age that I was at that time.
There are probably many of you here that feel nostalgic hearing those songs but I'm out at this point in time. I can't really identify what it is that made the late 90s and early 2000s so incredibly catchy while always leaving me between happyness and melancholy. It's strange!
I feel you, for me, the feeling I get from listening to songs from the late 90's early 2000's is surreal. It was a happy, carefree time in my life. No social media or phones, just living in the moment. The only memories I have are in my mind, and they come back when I listen to songs from that era.
Classics? Classics are timeless and continue to have widespread listenership years/decades after like the 80’s. Most of this has been largely forgotten. Where is the iconic 1984 by Van Halen or Thriller by Michael Jackson of that year?
Your frame of reference isn't the entire world. Age groups differ and also what someone considers a 'classic'. Stop being narrow minded. You don't decide for others what a 'classic' is. You only decide what it is for you.
The final great year of rock music Emo and post punk revival were at their peak. pop rock was more balanced between the two genres compared to the entire 2010s. We still got many rock songs after 2006 just not to the many as 2006
i can't believe that crazy and everytime we touch are from the same decade , much less same year, and so many others , what a mix, amazing year for music
If you take the top 10 beats from the 2000s, he probably did at least half of them if you bother to look in the album credits. That man is an unappreciated genius. I bought a subwoofer back in the day just for his beats.
Born on that year 2006 was the Nintendo Wii system console and Just Dance video game franchise was released about 3 years later with it makes me dance to all of these songs that were there
As far as hits go, I really had my pick of genres that year! That's the year when I gained employment at the department I still work in as of 2023. This video montage reminds me of how much I dig Sean Paul's music.
Hello friend, I am looking for a slow rap song sung by a male singer that starts with a whistling or flute sound in 2006 and 2007. I hope you can help me.
2006 not a good year for music. Thank heavens there were some really good exceptions that were actually different than the majority of the dross. Stuff like Evanescence, Snow Patrol, James Blunt, The Fray, Pink, My Chemical Romance, The Killers and Gwen Stefani made listening to radio that year bearable.

It's because Timbaland produced and promoted her songs
@@mateuszj5583 That was because (Danja) Timbaland's ghost producer was gone from 2009 and Timbaland had to look for new producers from 2009
Best music year in the 2000s. It had the perfect mix of rock, rap and R&B
Worst for me. In this clip I liked only about 5 songs.
Samy Kiani Which songs did you like??
I like how every song sounds different and not all the same like todays music
Samy Kiani Ok Zoomer

Madonna's Confessions On A Dance Floor era was absolutely fantastic!!!

Thank You for Apoptygma Berzerk! "Shine On" was my first song from them & I still love it!
Be Without you by Mary J Blige 👍👍

A lot of these songs are 2005/2007. Well at least in my memory
Mandela effect?
Then it would be 2005 music not 2006
Nelly Furtado nailed 2006
A lot of artists did!
Like The Pussycat Dolls w/ “I Don’t Need a Man” and the list goes on.
And Queen Bey w/ “Déjà Vu” ft. Jay-Z.
