My first time ever at Forever Young 80's Music Festival last weekend. I've been to a lot of festivals, but this is the greatest of them all. No drugs, no drunkenness, people genuinely really nice and helping eachother out. The only downside, I only stayed for the Saturday. Enjoyed all the acts, loved The Christians, Hue & Cry and Holly Johnson in particular, even 5 Star. I'll be back next year for two days. It was such a wonderful time and an event. Superbly organised. Fair play to the Doctor, the Medic is superb, he is what Forever Young is about, he knows and is close friends with all of the acts, you can see, everybody has a great time for him. He had his own great cover song of course back in 1986.
He's a great MC, really good craic and just keeps it all together. Nice bloke as well, ended up sitting beside him at the Winterfest in the bar and he invited 3 of us to join him and his friends for a whiskey! No airs etc. Hope he's available every year!!

What a belter of a song. The Doc was such a laugh at the festival, great craic altogether.
