  • This is one of the most well known classics in Potrero, second only to the enormous Time Wave Zero. This route climbs like a mountaineering route with some 3rd class terrain in the middle that splits up the climbing. The crux comes at the end of pitch 10 and continues through the first half of 11 at an offwidth crack in a dihedral. In total there are 12 pitches that take you 1200 feet off the deck but you can link many of them for a faster, more efficient ascent. We did this on our second day in Mexico in warm temps which made the crux pitches a bit more slippery. The summit provides amazing views of the park and features a lone palm tree which gives the route its name "Little Star".
