I like the song keeps catching you off guard with its sudden changes. Much like how Martlet catches you off guard with her attacks in genocide compared to the normal routes
the way he reacted to the guitar riffs adding up was percisely my reaction as well, youd think it would be just a regular martlet theme but then it hits you like a truck setting up a more serious tone to a once goofy and silly battle
The cooler (and darker) Protocol Hot Take: Remedy is overrated. More listens than Protocol & Apprehension combined (on YT, can't say elsewhere) and while it really works as a boss song, people seem to treat it like it's better than all of Martlet's other songs but I disagree. Remedy is slightly worse than her other songs honestly. I definitely consider Apprehension the best version of Martlet's theme (Martlet alone I should say as combined themes like Retribution exist)
I love how the Yellow team took one look at Burgley's irritating and badly written character design and instantly said "You know what?? We're going to do a horribly flawed blue bird properly" and proceeded to make one of the best characters in the entire series.
@@scrunkore It's not the the character is annoying I love me a good annoying character, it's that Tony made being annoying their one and only personality trait even after their """redemption""" so they don't have anything to stand on once you take away that one trait. Like they could have done so much with the insecure dork and they just killed them off instead.
@@dylanocampo9430There is a separate song called apprehension! He already did protocol, check his channel and you'll see it! Listen to the songs back to back. You'll see the difference. For example at 1:04, the “dudu. dudu. dudu.” part only has the drums in apprehension, while at 1:04 in protocol it has the melody with it! See for yourself :D The reason the songs are different is one plays in a pacifist/neutral run, and the other plays in a genocide route and takes a more serious tone!
by the way you kept getting tricked by the song's direction, I realize that the song, like the character it's tied to, is scatterbrained.
Or "bird brained" more like, if ya catch my drift
that's a common problem he has with the whole uty ost. it's so unpredictable and for that I love it.
Also she is pretty conflicted in this moment so I feel like the scattering makes sense to be more then normal
uty fandom says martlet is scatterbrained

That little bit at 0:13 where you’re still adjusting to the rhythm make me want to know how Apprehension would sound in swing
Honestly my favorite fight in the game. Genocide Ceroba is a close second.

Right, I keep forgetting. I have family member with the name Caroba, so the mixup is pretty often.

Remedy kinda fell off after that beginning part imo. That intro is REALLT good. Intense, recognizable, and sets the tone of the fight perfectly.

yeah Martlet was designed before Chapter 1 even released; Protocol was composed in 2016
I believe this called protocol actually
this is the protocol remix you get when fighting Martlet for the first time in a geno run
and that's where you are wrong
No. In the OST, it's actually called protocol
