A pastor once told me that our time on earth is just a training ground; for GOD has many plans in heaven for those HE'S called, after HE has rid the cosmos of all evil.
I want to believe this is true, and while our hearts are broken, HE CHOSES who HE needs when and where HE determines. This can be hard to accept.
My Grandaddy also used to say, "Our bodies are just a suitcase". He was a West Virginia coal miner, playboy who came to CHRIST and also became a pastor.
I pray that Mr. Comparatore has been chosen as GODS warrior; the evil one may have taken his body, but NOT his spirit. For what is a hero but for Mr. Comparatore? It is written that, there is no greater sacrifice, than to lay down your life for another.
I pray for the Comparatore loved ones. I cant imagine the horror and grief they are enduring.
