Nice review. I bought em both. Royal Oud was my #1, but I’d honestly put these 2 above it. Out of the 2, I’d say I like Delphinus more. Longevity is top notch. I like this direction that Creed is going.
It's really cool I have a friend that works at the Neiman Marcus in Las Vegas. She was kind of enough to send me samples of both and I am currently trying it out trying to figure out which one to add to my collection. It's really cool if you get a good sales rep that works at a reputable department store you'll always be in the know on new stuff. Great analysis of both!
Big Creed fan here. I can’t wait to sample these new fragrances. A little disappointed in the pricing but like everything it’s gone up. Especially when Creed use to list expensive Ambergris in the ingredients/notes but now seems to be replaced by I assume less expensive options like Amberwood or Ambroxan, I’d think the prices would come down as well
I just bought centaurus yesterday. I had a sample and started wearing it in my uber and kept getting people saying “Wow your car smells so good “ I drive a Jag so I want it to smell fancy. I love it. Was about $560 from saks
Tried both of these at a John Lewis store here in the UK this morning. Both decent. Centaurus has the edge for me. Feels a bit like a more wearable red tobacco? Can see what you mean with the creation e/enigma comment. I wore that yesterday and it has that same rich, deep, classy vibe. Goes without saying the price is outrageous, but we know that by now 😅
I’m sorry but l can’t believe this is a genuine review. When these companies send you freebies like these you definitely can’t give any negatives of your off the mailing list . Be honest
I am ALWAYS honest about my opinion. I have trashed quite a few creed fragrances and still hold those opinions. My opinion is ALWAYS my own regardless of gifted status.
Great reviews, and you’re beautiful! 😊 Centaurus smells good initially, but as it develops, there’s a note that comes through that is extremely off-putting to me. To tell you the truth, it smells very herbal and resinous…almost a cannabis smell. It’s also overly strong, and I’m not sure where I could go to wear it in public. I don’t want people to think of me as being the “cologne guy” when I walk by. I returned my bottle. Delphinus is much better and a much more wearable fragrance. I also think Delphinus is the fragrance that women would much prefer, either on themselves or on their men. It is truly a unisex fragrance, IMO, whereas Centaurus is more of a very strong, primarily masculine scent. Also, you mentioned an iris note in Delphinus, and that is one of the three notes that was initially listed in it when it first came out. But now, in Creed’s official list of notes on their website, no iris at all is listed. How strange.
I just got a decant of it. I find it unique spice. The spice is smooth and creamy. Erica, the heliotrope seems to push through strong. I get a carrot seed vibe maybe from sandalwood? The cinnamon is not your spice rack cinnamon. I blasted many sprays and took a nap at 6pm. When I got back into bed at 11pm, I caught the centauras scent bubble good even though I showered! My pillow and covers took on centauras. ;) There is no comparison to Tobacco Vanille. It also doesnt compare to spicebomb.
iLove them both , but I’ve😂been hearing more aBout DELPHINUS - but CENTAURUS - OMG!!!!! iget so many compliments! & the Sillage & longevity?! AMAZING!!! ❤❤🎉 the price point though😢😊 BUT the CREED DNA is awesome!
Bought a sample of each from Creed. I wasn’t a big fan of Centaurus. I got cinnamon, but a Wrigley’s gum cinnamon. Delphinous I enjoyed a lot more. As a man, I didn’t find it feminine at all. After the dry down I got Herod from PdM. I would not pay full price. I’ll wait for the gray market
Tom Ford Vanilla Sex and Black Lacquer are 405 USD for 50ml. Guerlain’s Vanille Planifolia is 603 USD for 50ml. Creed Centaurus and Delphinus are $400 for 50ml. Creed’s prices are on par with other luxury releases. Prices of fragrances and luxury goods have risen to the level of ridiculousness industry wide. If one cannot or chooses not to purchase these two offerings from creed there are other options on the niche market. Vanille Havane from Les Indemodables in place of Centaurus and Zou Zou from Celine to get a similar effect of Delphinus, which is very unique. Zou Zou is not the cheapest, at 320 for 100ml but the quality and originality of Delphinus is hard to replicate imo. The incense -vanillic, powdery heliotrope Iris is divine imo, and I’m usually a fan of Iris.
I bought the very expensive Amber Intrigue from Tom Ford - I really like the scent and it lasts easily 1.5 days on me...for ever, super strong but skin close
Hi Erica! I like the direction this line is going in. I've yet to own any Creed fragrances but these and what may come in the future in this line has me interested. Concerning the price, you do get what you pay for But over 400 for 50 ml or over 500 for 100ml!? It seems Creed is catering to people that can afford really expensive fragrances.
I bought Delphinus on the spot. Love the Scent DNA. Imho Delphinus is the best Scent of Creed. Cerberus is also lovely but not as unique as Delphinus. Happy, that Creed is Moving away from old man smelling scents.
I have gotten the samples of Centaurus but have yet to wear them because it is not cool enough yet to get the true experience and performance of the fragrance. I have spent money at this price point on fragrance before. I am a fragrance lover so I do not mind but in the grand scheme of things would I say any fragrance is worth that no, not from that perspective but if we are comparatively speaking then some fragrance are compared to others like MFK Oud Satin Mood. Don’t have to spray that much and it last a long time and projects. You get your moneys worth. And few others I can name.
I really like both of them. I think I like delphinus better but both are good. Oh just wait haters will hate lol. They will give it a review and haven't even smelt it 😂
I saw another vid yesterday stating that Centaurus smells like something else but I can't recall which it was. The reviewer also said that other one was better. Anyone know which it is that's similar?
I don’t get any BO effect whatsoever and my skin is very sensitive to Cumin. If some people get this effect it must be coming from something other than Cumin.
I haven't watched the video yet, just sharing my experience. I own A bottle of Aventus, GIT, Himalaya, SMW, Aventus Absolu, Virgin island Water, and for me the best creed, the ultimate Bond fragrance Spice and Wood. Something Don Johnson would also use as his signature scent in MV. Creed has many fragrances i really enjoy and like. Yes performance isn't stellar on all of them. But if you spend 100 bucks on a champagne, that's just as much of a "waste" of money if not worse. So back to the fragrances Centaurus - Delphinus i tried them a few days ago. We can talk about notes and all of that, but there's not much point. Upon smelling both, i was like WTF is this. Propably just as disappointing as Eau Forte was from Kurdjian, Dior's biggest flop since he joined them. So these two are both a hard pass, no thank you. I'll watch the video now, and see what your opinion was.
63k subs and you can't even breakdown any of the frags that you "review" at all. No mention of notes, just "It smells so good guys, go buy it!" Low effort shilling for free bottles and money.
@@frankstallone9121 that’s ridiculous. And when on earth did I say “go buy it”? 😂 I guess “it’s very expensive and won’t be worth it to most people, try it in store and get samples first” = GO BUY IT! so rude!
I have to disagree with your take on Centarus! Personally, I find it super cinnamon-forward and overly spicy. The combination of cinnamon and pink pepper is very bold, almost to the point of being overwhelming and, honestly, a bit annoying. While it’s undeniably long-lasting, it’s in a way that I don’t find pleasant.
Both Delphinus and Centaurus are undoubtedly masterpieces. Absolutely unique and classy, well balanced, projecting sophistication and value by its price tag. If you are a Creed fan, its a must have edition of both.

Centaurus smells like a legit pile of horse 💩 it really does live up to its name. Same with delphinus although delphinus is a tad bit better than centaurus. Either or both are obnoxious and for the price big no.

Delphinus is incredible. Indeed Modern and a fresh take for Creed b/c they have nothing like it. Amazing amazing scent especially for Iris lovers.

CENTAURUS is BEAST❤
In Ireland, a 100ml bottle is €330, which is about $365.... Don't understand why its so much more in America! Smelled and really enjoyed both
Wow US retail is $545 but can be obtained at $100-200 cheaper through discount sites or reputable Facebook groups
It’s due to import taxation.

I sampled Centaurus today and I picked up on a BO note. It lasted for quite a while. It’s the same reason I don’t wear Virgin Island Water.
Oh interesting I’ve never smelled a BO note from Virgin island water!
That's interesting VIW is pure pleasure, coconut - lime, the only creed i found unpleasant beyond bearable was EROLFA with its cat piss note.
