Does the microwave come with the blower installed to face up? I am about the install a vent going through the attic and roof and I wondered If I have to flip the blower.
Just installed one replacing a 10 year old GE microwave. The old and new brackets are not compatible, AND the top holes were not the same, you would think they'd at least be consistent between brands!
Sometimes the brands just change the whole thing. It can be frustrating.

Was there a clear sheet attached to the inside of the door, if so, is this clear film to be removed?
There wasn't a clear film on ours, there was a plastic though. That one I had to remove before use.
What's the point on re-directing the blower if there's a wall to the top and a wall to the back? Either way you're blowing right into a wall.
If you pay attention to the video at 1:37, you will see there is a rectangular shape hole, that is the vent towards the back. Hope that makes sense.

Does it have a light underneath the microwave?

So if my vent is going up to the roof then I do not have to re-orient the fan motor, correct?
That is correct, you can leave as is because it's oriented upwards.
So did you not hook up the damper part on the back of the microwave?
No need for that, as long as you change the orientation of it to the match the right direction.

Terrible distracting music for a video without speech. No explanation as to why new holes were being drilled. Highly misleading with informing why the procedure was conducted.
I actually placed text instructions all throughout the video, sorry if you find the music distracting, you can mute while watching though, that is an option.
