Turn the bed 90° so that the peak of the A-frame is facing you when you walk into the room. It'll look less obtrusive and that way you can enter/exit from the end without being faced with a horizontal bar in the way or having to walk around.
You could then hang a large sheet over it from left to right (essentially blocking off the other sides) and have it like a big tent to sleep under. It would be amazing with some fairy lights or other ambient lighting wrapped around the top to look up at.
Good idea except a sheet would be easily tore down and a suffocation risk
@cheaperbythehalfdozen864 If it is secured properly then it is highly unlikely. Suffocating on the sheet/bedding a baby or young child is sent to bed with is of a much higher likelihood than this.
Alternatively, it could be designed in a way that makes it out of her reach.
I appreciate you pointing it out, however it is not of high risk if it's secured well.. there are risks in every single moment in life, all we can do is take the appropriate precautions to avoid them whilst still living a normal, quality life.
These parents also use baby monitors, both work from home and constantly have her in their presence, so the risk is already very minimal.

@@rahrah8402 that’s the main reason I commented. Incase anyone else read it. I know these parents are very hands on and would always be watching their child but unfortunately there’s others that would just throw a sheet over and call it a day (I’ve met a few people like that personally) and just wanted others to be aware of the risks. I’m a super anxious person in general so I just try to stay very cautious and help others when I can. Thank you for being respectful in your reply to me. Some people aren’t like that and would just snap so I appreciate the kindness 🤍

Upgrade the crib but I wouldn't recommend putting her in a toddler bed she's not old enough they need to be at least three
Not necessarily. My youngest son is 18 months and his dr recommended us transition him right at a year old because he could climb to the top of his crib even with it at the lowest setting. It all depends on baby/dr/parents
