I have shaved with several different razors: Leaf, Safety, Defender, Shick, electric, Philips, just to name a few. Nothing beats my Defender. It's a quality shave at a fraction of the cost of the others. I am sorry that you had a negative experience with the Defender. I have only good things to report. Smooth, fast, with little to no irritation.
Defender wins in my book. The Se leaves razor stubble what I found sent it back The supply pro doesn’t set to 5 but you need 2 shaves one down one up light pressure like you said .
I think you had pulling and tugging because of your “4 day” growth. And when you started with the Defender, your cream was more dry. The Defender is great for me (not heavy bearded) with 1 to 2 day growth, and it can be used in many directions without getting nicks or irritation. Haven’t used your other razor you have but with 4 or more days w/o shaving I use the great Slim Adjustable.
Thanks Earl, good point, but i did refresh the cream and water before starting the Defender, (just not on camera) and had those results. I wanted to show which blade could cut threw heavy hard beard hair and deliver comfortable shave still. If it could that heavy beard, which i think was actually 3 days, then it would obviously do a great job on a day or two growth. I did try the Defender on a 2 day growth with a new blade and it did the same thing. I reached out Defender (twice) letting them know my experience maybe I received a bad batch of blades? No one every replied to emails... Thanks for sharing your experience and I'm glad it works for you.
@@manview5178 Ok. You’re right, they are not the sharpest blades but I like the spacing because it lessons tugging and pulling that you normally get from most other multi blade razor. My face feels smooth afterwards, without any nicks or redness. But yeah, there’s nothing better than a nice double edge shave after not shaving for 4 or more days.
Nice vid. I have been using the Defender now for about a week and I not only use it for my face but also my chest. I really like mine as it doesn't glog and the blades for me are very sharp and cut through all different lengths of body hair. Plus, with The Defender, I can get into all the different hard to reach areas due to the blade design and how the head flexes and privets versus a safety razor has a slight learning curve just to use it even when it also can't get into areas like under the nose. The suction cup is very thoughtful and comes with the razor instead of having to buy an additional holder for it. I feel the Defender is far better for me and the price point is hard to beat. I do agree that the C.O. Bigalow cream is the best! Thanks again for the vid.
Thanks! glad that works for you. I even tried to change the blades several times and it was like using a rusty razor, I juts couldn't do it. That shaving ream is amazing right!? seems like you can use any razor and that cream makes it cut like butter...
Great video, hope you keep the shaving videos coming. Ever grown your moustache? Would be good to see you grow and then show how to shape it up and maintain the look. Would you consider?
As I said in the video, The blade has over 12 uses on it already so i needed to run the blade over a couple of extra times, however, even doing that, the blade didn't cut or burn. Also, with an edge like this, you can't "push" down like you do with a regular razor. You have to do the Place and Glide method so it cuts, not rips. If this was a new blade, i would have gone over each pass twice (like any blade) and it would have been fine. Cuts close, lasts long and you do need to learn how to use it because it will cut you, so it's best to pass once very lightly (depending on your beard thickness, mine is very thick, and stiff) and then go over once again to a get a close cut. Hope that helps!

nah, i can't pull off a stash.. it itches to much.
@@manview5178 Shame Friend, it would make good video. Itch would go after the second week. Hope for one in the future then...lol 🙏
Why are you going over and the same spot with no lather? I thought the whole point of a supply SE razor is to reduce the # of blade scrapes

Great video. Helped me make a razor decision
Glad it helped!
As one that shaves their head Defender is the best IMO
