I remember seeing him on American whatever... it was the only time I ever watched the show, but it was because of him and his voice. I fell in deep crush with him lol and even though he was just 17/18 I had a feeling he was one of us. But at that age, it's a rough go and unless you have the ability to get away from what you grew up in no matter what shape it takes and are given the opportunity to spend time getting to know who you are, it can be an even harder process of coming to love oneself. Especially when the rest of the culture around you can be so unforgiving and cruel. But it is a good feeling to see that he actually did despite the fame, the attention, his background, etc. It's just too bad I was twenty years older than he was lol. Because you don't come across many people with such a pure heart and a kind manner such as his. That was all I ever wanted was to find others like that but rarely ever found. I hope that he is able to maintain that innocence because in the end, that is what would save us all. Life does have a way of batting us around, sometimes so much that it can be almost possible to keep from becoming angry and bitter. I struggle with that every day myself. But holding on to the childlike part while not being childish is what keeps me going. I wish the same for him and all those who struggle with who they are despite whatever that is not being accepted by others. I only hope someday soon that those with both the hearts and strength of character will be willing to stand up against those who make life so difficult for others in the world. That is what I believe we are here for, not personal gains, success, fulfillment of desires and dreams. But for each other.
