You don't have to stick it out 2 years to get a better tanker job. One year will do. Stop giving your efforts to a company that won't value what you do. Schneider is only good for it's shareholders.
I’m with a tanker company now I used Schneider to get my Hazmat ELD free and left. I started tanker with about 8 months total experience at the time. They pay more across the board and it’s food grade only no hazmat suit required or a shaved face lol.
Megas are good to get your feet wet in the industry , once your paid your dues after one year you pack your stuff and leave , I worked for Schneider for a year then left now I get paid at least twice as much for the same amount of driving and work
Honestly, a lot end up leaving after a month 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Trucking is a very unique industry. Only 50% make it to 1 year. And most don’t make it to 1 year with at least one company. And no, Schneider doesn’t offer that much more pay unless you decide to go on a dedicated account or one of these special accounts that only the people on the inside know about

I used to drive public transit but left that about a year after covid and my bus got shot up... Decided to get my class A and I was able to land a job hauling fuel and have not looked back. Made over 110k my first year. The job market has tightened up some as most fuel companies are no longer hiring people directly out of truck driving school.

No. Not true. They don’t base wages off cost of living. They base it off experience level. I met someone with 8 months experience on the Ecolab account and they were making 63 cpm… so it’s like Schneider doesn’t take care of their current employees that get experience through them, but new employees with experience, they start them off with a good CPM. It’s really ridiculous. As for per diem, you don’t pay taxes on 20 Cents of that 55 cents.

Schneider Bulk is a good training company & that's it. I learned how to haul DOT 307,407,312, & 412 trailers with them. The difference between solid & fusible washout caps & much more. The only reason I made decent money when I was with Schneider Bulk was because I had a monopoly out of my terminal with the cross-border runs in Canada. My name went all the way up to the sales team in Green Bay.

I went straight to doing fuel hauling straight out of CDL school a few years back. It’s a myth that you have to go to these mega companies to get experience.
Well, that’s the thing. You went into fuel hauling during the perfect time. They were desperate for truckers. Nowadays, it’s much more difficult to get a fuel hauling job straight out of CDL school. There are exceptions to the rule, but most people aren’t gonna be that lucky.
You are getting paid to learn a trade. The other option is to pay a school lots of money for a trade. Stick it out for 2 years and you can be making over $100,000 at one of the smaller companies.
After a year I would look into fuel hauling or ltl. If kenan, quality carriers is in your area,they will take you after a year. Don't make the mistake I made in job hopping.
They are. I can only film at public places. Also can’t film myself pre-tripping anymore. And driving footage can only be via a dash cam set up. I just gotta get creative.

(3 hours 17 mins) I asked about a Quala wash in Charleston WV (1.5 hour away) & they said no, I can’t park there, maybe after I get one year. I thought it was a little crazy honestly lol

He use to work for quality carriers, a competitor to Schneider bulk. Their contracted freight goes for $15 per mile, for sulfuric acid. I’m sure Schneider’s Ecolab freight goes for the same rate because we also haul acid and caustic. My last paycheck was $546, after taxes. I’m dead serious 😂😂😂
@@daberry9159 that’s the rate for a motor carrier. So of course the company driver gets paid pennies on the dollar. I could’ve made more last week but I messed up my eye at the TA truck stop. So I just stayed home because i was embarrassed.

I’ve been calling… they’re really strict on the one year tanker experience. Also, some of these places have hiring freezes
