What vintage AS 2001 machine is it? This Maroon one in video is from 2008/9. Newer units are Navy Blue; and different front control panel. Units from 1980s are a light blue and 90's era ones I think are Montana named and Green when imported to the USA. The Maroon unit like this one in the video requires a skate blade to be inserted to make it work. I mention this because maybe not obvious. ie when the carriage is in the left home position the skate blade is inserted and rested on the brass 2 rollers; then the blade is clamped. There is a proximity sensor that detects the steel skate blade. On this Maroon machine the "Cycles" far left knob has to be set to 0 to dress the grind disk. The other numbers 1,2,3 and 4 are the number of sharpening cycles. Blade sensor video; ruclips.net/video/8JLX0rVljLU/видео.html The drive motor in my unit is a simple 24 volt DC brush motor. It drives the grind disk spindle with a belt. Regards
Could you make a video on how to adjust the pressure on the grindingwheel?
Silly, that weight presses with more force in the middle than at the two ends!
@3beltwesty any idea why my grinding wheel doesn't spin to even dress it? Bought a used machine and it moves fine on cycle but wheel will not spin.
