The characters feel a bit flat, they all seem to have to take turns getting to have feelings, and when they do they all seem to act the same when they have those feelings.
I think it feels unrealistic/disconnected because of the fact the author has to portray both sides in bulks. It’s not like real life where these things are happening simultaneously. The perspective it’s written in can’t really portray it as such.
