Together again: Walk for Animals has a new home!

We’re thrilled to be hosting the Walk for Animals on Saturday, April 30 at a brand new location ― the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. The Fairgrounds are the perfect new home for our beloved Walk, offering plenty of room for celebrating second chances and making a difference for animals in need.

SUUCESS STORY UDATED: I adopted a beautiful male, 6 months old via the Humae Society Tampa and picked him up at PetSmart. I had recently lost my beloved chiawaha on Nov 6, 2021 of natural causes, Choco was 13 yrs old I was beyond devastated and depressed. I seen a picture of ( now renamed Keko Love) picture. He looked so very sad and I was sad too. On April 6,2021 Never meeting him & at that point only know some of the abuse he endured, I adopted him that same day! Even though he was extremely terrified and growled & hissed at me, I automatically felt a connection with him When I received what all he had been through I was shocked to say the least He was in a hoarding situation, no food or water even deceased kittens/ cats were found. It was noted that there was garbage, urine and feces covering the home. Keko had never been to a vet nor had he ever experienced LOVE & ATTENTION. It took months of working with him and I am very proud to say he is the sweetest, most loving cat ever. Upon adoption his paperwork stated he didn't do well with children or other cats. He knows what it is to be spoiled 😂 and unconditionally loved now, in fact Keko now runs my house! He plays gently with my grandkids. Every morning he greets me purring away always showing his belly and LOVES to snuggle 🥰
We celebrated his 1st birthday on October 6th,2021 And it's like having a toddler back in my home, he has to watch his " Cat Games" EVERY SINGLE MORNING after his breakfast. If you seen his adoption picture compared to now, he glows with happiness!
