- The struggle is real. EVERY time I clean the litter box, there's a cat right behind me who uses it again immediately. And why do I find litter everywhere?!
Picture it: I'm cleaning the litter box recently for the umpteenth time and this song starts going through my head. Maybe it was the repetitive consonant in ABBA's "Super Trouper" chorus combined with the repetitive task of cleaning the litter box. Whatever it was, I took the idea and ran with it (because by now, you know that's what I do lol). I asked my good friend, Dean, who is a very talented singer and producer, if he could sing it (because no one wants to hear me sing) and produce. And he did! The result is an ear worm that now goes through my head every single time I clean the litter box. Well, it's kind of going through my head all the time right now, haha.

Even with a mat in front of the litter boxes that they HAVE to step on to get out, there is still litter everywhere. Constantly. I have no idea how they do it. And, of course, moments after scooping it... "Thanks, human, it's clean for me to use now!" Thanks for the catchy tune to hum to myself while cleaning and sweeping! (And all honour to Her Majesty and her sidekick!)
Even mats don't help. My girl just launches over it. 🤣

I loved this video!! Its so true as I'm cleaning the litterboxes for the night there's always one kitty that goes behind me n uses the freshly clean box. I have one cat that digs n digs, then covers n covers. End result..LITTER every where. I give up n go to bed. I'll get it in the morning cleanup. Also scratching the wall, how does that cover their mess? Shorty was excellent doing her business then tracking litter all over. Kodi doesn't make a huge mess. I think because Shorty has long fluff on her paws 🐾 also, the litter gets stuck. So she ends up shaking her pawsies.

Oh yes we have two cats and there’s always litter, cat fur, and dried bits of cat food literally everywhere no matter how often we clean…. Ugh! Sometimes I want to give up. Cleaning, I mean. We would never give up the cats 😂

My cat loves the bathtub. So, the litter on her feet sometimes ends up there. I can not describe how defeated I feel, when after drawing a lovely hot bubble bath, chonks of undisclosed litter go floating by. Just her way of showing me who's really the big boss.

I'm normally a fan of Sho Ko anyway (especially Shorty - bless her heart), but doing a song involving Shorty and Kodi, a song that's creative, original, upbeat, funny, and relatable to cat owners, is just... incredible. Incredible, I say! I can't emphasize just how truly awesome this is, and how this brightened my day. You just made me completely happy all of the sudden, and I had to share this with all of my cat-loving friends! Even though you're not the singer, your friend Dean is very talented, and this was a fantastic, no, a brilliant concept. Our Bobek could do that very well, too. He was literally waiting to have his litter box cleaned up... and even used it while it was cleaned up.

OMG my song every day and night!! My cats wait with every fiber of their being for me to clean the boxes and floors. They race over the second I'm done and actually sit down. But I can't get too mad. Their joy is effervescent!!!

You and Dean both did great work and the perpetual contrast of how Shorty roots herself and zeroes in on your intention while you film ("What's this, now.") vs. Kodi ("What...? Oh hi!"), as if he were bounding back from another plane of existence...

I am familiar with this. I just hope Shorty and Kodi don't play the same trick my own cat did a week or two back, where he TIPPED OVER the litter tray somehow and there was a truly epic mess.

Not acquainted with the song but it is probably in Mama Mia! (which I watch frequently). Dean sounds like early Jimmy Buffett (I'm a cheeseburger in paradise so that is compliment), as does the music. Cute. Although, I thought it was going to be an ad for litter (really). And I think you did a good job of portraying The Cat Owner. Since Shorty made the most money and Kodi not as much, did you work for scale? Sorry. Product placement was a little too quick to actually get the pun. Kodi was a bit clumsy, so basically playing himself, but The Queen was very on spot as a cat doing poopsies. I, also, like her addition (at the end) of performing some of the music of her people which other cats will appreciate. Again, a masterful job and she ran her lines perfectly. "Prrbt!" I am still in awe of her versality. She was born to be a star. I do rate her 10 Floofs. I'll give Kodi, 8 Floofs and Rob...8 Floofs as well. 9 Floofs for Best Music in a vlog. (Of course, in the Christmas music category, I had to go with 10 Jingle Bells for Cher's Senior Christmas red vinyl LP (I'm 2 days older than her so I might be prejudiced) and 10 Jingle Bells for Tarja in both the Dark Christmas album and video categories. Still time for Jingle Bells if The Queen is planning on releasing a Christmas Music of My People lp.)

I keep their litter box in the basement and they have a mat that collects access litter. No issues. But the cat HAIR on the other hand is an issue lol 😂
If I could only like this at least one hundred times! I lost my lovebug 2 years ago and still miss him every day. .you know how you forget all the bad things after a bit? This brought it all back...and I'm seriously allergic to cats, but...
We're trying to convince a stray we've been feeding for that time into owning us. I don't want him outside in the cold with the cars, raccoons and coyotes...he's a darling spade tuxedo kitty, not feral in the slightest. The hardships we endure for our owners--I love cats. As a lifelong cat owner, I can totally relate, but want to tell you about something that will make this problem a thing of the past! (Changed my cat concierge career furrever!)
It's not going to change the cats taking turns going right after you clean the box, but will eliminate the litter all over the house. 😅
I started using a shelf liner under the litter box, leaving a 4"-5" walkway (catwalk) into the box --
that completely solved the litter-all-over-the-place issue.
You can find this shelf liner practically anywhere, through any vendor (Walmart, Amazon, etc.), and it comes in 12" or 20" wide rolls.
It's mesh, so the little grains fall into the grooves
+ cushioned for their paws
+ non-adhesive grip grabs the litter
+ machine washable...
Once you start using this as their fancy walkway into & out of the box, you will only ever have to sweep under & around that area again.
No more grains in your chair! 😂😅😹

How to deal with litter tracked all over the house?? 🤔 I kept reading that regular litter boxes are too small for adult cats. Also not to use covered boxes; doesn't help & traps cats with their sensitive noses in with the smell. (I can relate. Portapotty smell?) So, bought large mason's mixing boxes at Lowe's. (9 because, of course, 7 kitties). Cats love them!! Didn't help with the litter everywhere issue AT ALL! 😂 😆 😁
