- A project of my DIY - homebuild 5axis CNC which is for me to making a fiberglass mold prototyping.
Another video to show a 5Axis CNC mold to fiberglass mold :
• Homemade 5axis CNC - F...
I expected to see a machine milling foam... I saw much more than that! A complete build timelapse of a fantastic machine. Excellent, thank you.
You are a genius Chris it is pleasure to know such a high caliber guy for almost 12 years!
thx bro.
@@chrislau9776 you make great machine. do you use powermill to make G-code ?
I study engineering and make my own projects as well, this has become a motivational video for me! Epic build and video
such talented people we have today, thanks.
Man, don’t you just hate it when you need to make a fiberglass mold so you build a beautiful 5 axis precise computer -controlled milling machine? Hat it when that happens…
In all seriousness great stuff! My jaw dropped when I saw the electronics cabinet. Thing of beauty! 😍
home built @ work with professional equipment. Nice!
Hhhhh yeah weed
really amazing, Incredible ! a truly wonderful DIY project ... but HOMEBUILD!? ....MAN! maybe in Your Home!!! ...I have a lot of tools but no even close to your workshop, you have all the toys!!! wow!!!
Amazing work! my respects!...ha! and thank you very much for share such amazing work...beautiful!!!
Your super talented. Would like to see more of the process or plans you used. I know you'll be successful at what ever you chose to do. Wow great looking machine.
Would great to to see mini video series on electronics overview..as well the bc axis...and the build of the cnc in more detail
May be later i will upload more video later.
That is amazing. Very interesting, thank you for sharing.
Awesome machine, awesome work, awesome music !!!
I watch in awe!
Ty for sharing this monster with us...
Absolutely amazing build!! Will the build plans be released for this? Would love to make one of these myself to use for my University project
A like from France, Great work!
Amazing, awesome.
Please share your project in detail.
Thanks
Excellent work!!
You're the Man! I appreciate a real craftsman!
This is absolutely amazing, i would love to see your plans to build one of these!
HI. a design drawing a little mess it. So, it is not so good to share until if i can re-draw and redesign some wrong things later.
Please if you can share your plan it is amazing i want to build one
Thank's
Dear i want to made 5 axis machine and i am mechanical designer use solid work software and also known about electronic
I want to lern only some concept
And what's programming software you use i means not mach3
But form which software
Ottimo lavoro! Hai avuto molto denaro a disposizione, complimenti!
Great build man! Wonderful machine!
Great work! Amazing skills!
Exceptionally well done young man!
beautiful work. just beautiful. 10/10
What a great build!
Amazing machine design!
Great job, you're an artist,
This is probably one of the best videos out there that shows I can create a 5 axis CNC to build my own molds. Do you have plans that you are willing to share?
I have a post that will allow Mach3 to use G43 for tool offsets, even without TCP control support.
Good to see a girl doing this kinda thing!
Really like what you did
Love the project man, Respect.
Congrats from Brazil..
Tell us about software and components that you used in this project.
Wonderful job you've done 👍
Wow, I've never seen a home with a glass-walled room inside the garage labelled 'MACHINING' - that almost looks semi-pro!
If only the music had half the quality as the machine you're building... just kidding. Great video. THX³
Schon geil wenn man sowas bauen kann 👍🏻
Nice video thanks for sharing with us. Would please share the information about electronics part like controller, motor, cam etc
Thanks
HI. a design drawing a little mess it. So, it is not so good to share until if i can re-draw and redesign some wrong things later.
@@chrislau9776 You should try and redraw the plans and make a list of parts and we will buy the PDF from you.
I don't think Homebuild DIY means what he thinks it means.
ya! CLEARLY
?? AKA it is not made in a factory. Just because it was not made "at home" doesn't mean its not diy or "home built"
@Erik Mikkelsaar Hehe me too! Depends on who you are I suppose but ya... I like tools and making things!
@Erik Mikkelsaar Nice! I just finished up a Laser Cutter build and next up will be some form of CNC lathe as well.
@Erik Mikkelsaar living the dream 😁!

Complimenti... un gran lavoro...👍👍👍
Great machine. Please make a detailed build video.
Melhor projeto que eu já vi até agora parabéns
Wow, you are a pro - Share it and you will make god happy!
Amazing work!!
wow!!! what a build!! did you post somewhere every step? I would like to build one...
One of the few times i'm happy with the youtube suggestive vids! Great machine! great, great work! What do you use to produce the CAM?
GREAT JOB. CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice Harmonic drive ... cheep NO ...good YES
What's the name, or the link to buy, of the bearing used for the two rotation axis of the milling head?
I not have idea where i can buy it.
Greeting from Ukraine! Amazing work done!
Which CAM program for 5axis do you use?
Try Deskproto!
well done! Thanks for sharing!
Nice job! Thanks for sharing.
Hello, thanks for your amazing videos. I'm designing my own 5axis CNC milling router. I have a difficult question about z axis physical (switch) limits. ..
When the spidle is points down there is a limit to avoid table collision, BUT..... when head axis B is rotated 90º I´ll need to move Z down to the base.. Who could I set this B limit depending on the B axis position?... 😅.. Thanks again
the problem, if you do your 4 and 5 axis at the spindle, is that u make the entire thing incapable to mill anything hard without getting a lot of chatter
but for your application its completely fine I guess
Came for the cnc stayed for the Trance Music 🎶😎
Pretty handy with everything but the welder lol
Definitely a nice build but clearly not a home build as u can see in the early in the video.. id love to have a workplace/ university machining shop at my disposal...
There is a co-workshop in Hong Kong and i need to make all my large size alum. parts which my small milling cnc cannot do it.
would be awsome to know a litte bit more about the wiring, the controller used and where to get the firmware etc. :D
Its like cnc machine 3d juste you change the program that you enter in mach3
Это просто невероятно!
Молодец!
Respect from Germany
Wow, can you sell me one of those B/C heads? Or sell me the plans? Or better yet, what servos and harmonic drives are you using? I see how you have built it and am certain that I can do it myself! Either way, thanks for posting, this is GREAT INFORMATION & MOTIVATION!
HI. a design drawing a little mess it. So, it is not so good to share until if i can re-draw and redesign some wrong things later.
......i will consider to make a B/C head if many people interested it.
@@chrislau9776 ok please let me know!!
@@chrislau9776 I'm interested :)
Sweet home you got there ;)
I would love to make on in smaler dimension, but i dont know where to start because i expect i will get lot of problems when it comes to coding for 5-axis.
well done.. lots of work!
That is just fantastic!!
Excellent video so nice
it almost looks like the perfect size to fit it into a van
Genuine genius man wonderful
very nice video
I am a young cameroonian who loves cnc
please is it possible to have all the details to be able to make mine
Espectacular, sin palabras. Me gustaria tener esos conocimientos.
Nice safety shoes!
I want to ask you, brother, what type of five-axis machine this is
Sir can you tell me about the postprossesor, where i can find it or download it, i made 5axis CNC but i found problem in postprossesor when i ran Gcode in mach3
Which software are you using for creating 5axes Toolpath, Good job and Thank you !
Hello , what software cad/cam use for generarte gcode from mach 3 ? Sorry My English
Hi, Chris...What are the working dimensions, along the X, Z, Y axis? Is there a possibility of circular processing, cylindrical shape? Is the machine for sale? If so, what is the price?
Supper like for this work.
Respect !! From Canada
great work, i diy a 5 axis machine like yours before but failed, you encourage me to try it again. haha, could you give me some direction. many thanks.
Can you please turn the music up a bit? - the volume is quite low.
fantastic....
Nice work
Could you tell which card did you use and which program was that interface ?
@Reuel T Just want to be sure. Which program he used for cam my question.
mach3 doing the job...
Do you have build plans?
Sorry I'm still not yet have available time to make a building planning, But i will to consider to make one if more people would interested to
@@chrislau9776 hello, can you provide rotating head for 5 axis CNC? or assist in building such cnc?
@@chrislau9776 I'm still waiting when you will be able to make some plans as i seen that video long time ago and i really want to make such cnc for my hobby projects
I would mainly just like the 5axis head plans or id even buy one from you
+
Great work
5 axis to do a 3 axis job, brilliant.
congratulation from France , greate Job ! one question, what kind of glue do you use at 4' to glue the diferent foam layers together ? => could you share the brand and reference of the glue . thanks in advance !
I brought that glue from a air-condition system & parts shops (Sorry they don't have any brand on packing) and its for glue up a XPS panels.
Great work mate !! I am currently working on the same machine. Is there any way you could release the plans of your work ? Could you also share how u made you B/C head ? Overall amazing work. Thanks in advance. aaayy , i see down in the comments other individuals are also interested in the same questions. Also , how would you do automated tool changing on such a machine ?? i was looking at ACCtek AMK1212 machine, it is a beast.
Great project my friend, one question, could the Masso CNC controller (5axis version) could be used to build a 5 axis cnc machine similar to the Pocket NC?, I want to mill discs of aluminum of 5inch diameter by 1inch thick, (with nema23 and 1000w spindle) and what do you think about the precision of this Masso controlles?
- Your "Homebuild" definitions have been updated -
Array Z It would be grate to get some build drawing, so the main thing is about the turning head with placed the air cooled spindel. It look like that you use a direct drive unit for the turning head. Which size it is?
very nice.i want making 5 axis router.how cam programe using. say me
Parabéns, top show.
👏👏👏
I wish i had the skills to make this!!! How do you learn this? I want to make one for shaping airplane parts!
How does the machine know the position for b and c axis, are you using an encoder or limit switches?
Best regards from RUSSIA!!!
Its all about maximum feed rate :)
How do you configure the B, C center axis? Do you work off of 0,0 and adjust tool offset for each tool?
I have been looking and all are about table table set up. Please shed some light.
Hello how are you? and how did you write the control program G code? What additional files are needed for mach3 to work with 5-6 axes? Thank you.
