yeah if you make vacation homes for villagers on your home island you’ll still have them on the vacation island even if they move out, HOWEVER i do remember seeing somewhere that their memory basically gets wiped of ever having lived on your home island if that happens and any special phrases or anything else you might’ve taught them will be deleted
Can confirm. The day before Lucky moved away I invited him to the islands, he had his custom catchphrase when i talked to him there. After he moved off my island and i spoke to him once more, his catchphrase was reset. Same for clothing, only wears his standard clothes. Basically if a resident moves off your island they get their memory wiped clean.

south african here! to answer your question, yes it’s extremely hot around christmas time for us. today it’s over 30 degrees celsius (so near 90 fahrenheit). most of us spend our december holidays outside or going to the beach, if we’re lucky we’ll have some rain on christmas!
If you open the first person camera in the houses you can move the camera any way you like and give house tours at a more realistic eye level and it’s super fun!
