You did the record so much justice, the "new" Opeth is incredible in its flexibility and you nailed this so hard but it still felt like the record. Great job!
I had goosebumps in 5 seconds... You are really aligned with Axenrot drum work in another level! 👏🏽 For sure I will keep in touch. Amazing job in everything... Best wishes from Brasil
Getting a visual on this after the million times i've listened to it and tried to figure it out, is great. Even more difficult than i imagined. Great job dude \m/
Wonderful. I particularly appreciate the darker cymbals you're using and the way that you've captured them. They sound very natural and you can hear all the nuanes of your technique. Really nice.
That combo of ghost notes on the snare and the rythym on the ride are great. Lopez and Axe are both phenomenal at creating an atmosphere with that combo in Opeth. Great job man!
As a 60-something year-old drummer I appreciate this so much! I love Opeth and Axe, and you totally covered it to perfection. A very nice relaxed sense of calm over a kickin' drum part. Very well done! You should be proud of that. I'll subscribe for more.
great! Helped me a lot to figure out the drum patterns. The refrain-part sounds so easy but is pretty tricky, especially when adding the ghost notes. Thanks!
Always a joy for sore eye to see someone actually know what they're doing when making covers. Man, lot's of things for me to learn. Darn nice! Keep up the good work.
This has to be one of the best drum covers I've ever seen, which is as much a testament to your abilities as it is to Martin's :) quick question: do you play open-handed? That's what it looks like from your Sorceress cover (also amazing).
I'm curious to see the difference between the pre-studio demos and the final result, for Mikael (in his own words) takes the songs at a pretty advanced stage. Axe is a mind-blowing drummer, I don't believe the percussion in the demos can be nearly as good.
Axe's ghost notes take this song to another level. Fantastic cover
I am not a drummer. What do you mean by ghost notes? I am very curious.
Those little accents, like at 0:58. The subtle taps that aren't full hits.
Thanks for the reply. :)
Tyler Best
No probles! Always happy to educate!
I'm addicted to ghost notes. They're subtle but really add drive and fluidity. And the intensity of the hit changes the feel as well. Gah I love 'em
Your attention to detail with all the ghost notes and cymbal accents is amazing. Awesome work!
You are not Human. Great!
I am very much human, but I sincerely thank you :)
The Suckerz Daniè ti trovo anche qui 😂
Salve daniele
I love the drums on this track it just makes me want to dance.
Great cover, and that kit has the perfect tone for this song. Great sound.
Thanks!
No, there's no double bass kicks.
I do miss them, besides that a Great cover.
This is nothing short of utter perfection! I would absolutely love it if you did some Tool, Mastodon, Porcupine Tree, or more Opeth covers!!
Thank you ever so much!
Awesome. one of my fave Opeth drum tracks. They have always had such jazzy drum feel, throughout their many stick-twirlers. This cover is superb.

Amazing job in everything...

To me it seems easier than when I heard it because I thought it was either impossible or 2 drummers (I'm not a drummer hehe)

Those are note ghost notes, those were Paranormal notes taking to another level of drumming. Great cover! ❤ hope to see more opeth covers. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just stumbled on this cover and holy shit, this is my all time favourite song and it's so awesome to see a this cover on it.
I love how you incorporated your style but kept the core grooves for the song, sweet work !

2:43 Welcome
This is gonna be soo much fun to play! Great job!
3:53 Don't mind me. Just tagging this spot so I can jam with it \m/
Always a joy for sore eye to see someone actually know what they're doing when making covers.
Man, lot's of things for me to learn. Darn nice! Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much! I always do my best to try to play a song flawlessly.
Great job!
Amazing drummer
Well, we all know who's replacing Martin Axenrot! Awesome stuff.
One of Axenrot's best songs.
OMFG... bro you are A master...
Thanks bro! :)

Amazing! The ghost notes are pretty special. Also, with that waistcoat you should try your hand at snooker.
Perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Genial!
pro stuff! nice
sick
Damn thats a kickass cover. congrats!!!! Not an easy one to cover.
But I do however don't think Lars could jamm this one if he had you helping him
This is a fantastic cover! Not exactly how it is on the record but everyone has their own way to play it, especially if you learned it by ear!
Hello, i was trying to understand the pattern of the bell from 2:50 to 2:54, it's a 3 against 4? Please help me! Thanks!
I'd consider myself a critic. 99% of what I see, I don't like. You nailed it. Great performance.
Very nice of you, thanks a lot!
This has to be one of the best drum covers I've ever seen, which is as much a testament to your abilities as it is to Martin's :) quick question: do you play open-handed? That's what it looks like from your Sorceress cover (also amazing).
Thanks! Well, I TRY to play more open-handed because it has a lot of technical advantages and looks cool, but I am naturally right-handed.
Ah, ok, fair enough. I play open-handed, it's the only way I can comfortably play. I think (many would disagree) looks are secondary to technicalities
this is so fucking perfect...
I love those bell triplets.
Amazing cover although I think you replaced some of the hi hat parts at 0:51 and replaced them with toms instead. Still, good cover.
I'm curious to see the difference between the pre-studio demos and the final result, for Mikael (in his own words) takes the songs at a pretty advanced stage. Axe is a mind-blowing drummer, I don't believe the percussion in the demos can be nearly as good.
nice dude :D
