My mother loved Boy George. If you knew my black mother you would know how rare this was. She loved his voice. She would ask "Is that a boy?", and we would say-- he is a boy, Mom. When remembering my mom that is one of our favorite memories.

Interviewing him is an accomplishment, he’s very intelligent, witty and I remember when Phil Donahue interviewed him and tried to humiliate him years ago. Don’t ever “not do your homework” and or ask him the same questions he has been asked for 35 years. He is talented and very intuitive, enjoyable and fun.

Yes I agree with you. I was scared also. Back then I clang to the 'fact' at least my most favorite artist didn't do drugs and at least I'd never have to worry about hearing they overdosing and dying. Cher is going to be young forever. She's my parent's age and I would not have known what that guy was asking either but I feel that the host have to adjust to their audience and not the other way around. I married a younger man and it's fun to learn what is going to learn what is happening right now. Regarding Rihanna, people are going to complain no matter what you do as a star. I would have been happy if she came and sat at the same table. I'm sure whoever invited and financed was over the moon. I'm also glad Boy George showed up after VP Harris could not make it. I am not sure about all these non-profit fund raising events, they have to rent the room for the event, pay for the performers, pay for Host to fly there, Foods and their own Administration cost such as payroll and other misc. expenses. Nobody knows how much money really goes to the people who need it.
