    1. If using the rise measurement for crotch depth, I assume it is 1/2 of the total rise (front and back) measurement? 2. If wanting to mark the center front of the leg (for a decorative accent to run the length of the leg from waist to ankle), do you simply divide knee by 4 and square off a vertical line up the front leg side, or do I have to 1/4 the hip,knee,and ankle?

    • @RomyStanZakStudio
      @RomyStanZakStudio  3 года назад

      1- it could work with really stretchy material 1- I would 1/4 everywhere to be sure 🌸

      It’s actually a tool for inserting very large eyelets in curtains. It has two parts and you insert the eyelet in between and hammer it in place. So I use them for making curtains of course, but mostly as weights, since they are extremely heavy and large 👍👍🌸 also I like the look of them 😉😇

    Super video! Est ce que le tracé de l'entre-jambe convient aussi pour un legging homme?

      Merci 😊🌸 Non pour les hommes les choses sont un peu différentes, il faut y ajouter une ou deux pièces supplémentaires pour que ce soit plus adapté et confortable.

    Hi my name is Christine. I have a pair of jeans that fit my waist and hips fine, but I want to use my jeans as a pattern to make pajamas. I need to make the legs wider so they were feel comfortable pajamas. so when I widen the out seam and inseam. Where would my start point be at? and will this affect the waist crotch and the total crotch area? please help me please

    • @RomyStanZakStudio
      @RomyStanZakStudio  Год назад

      Hello ! If you want to make PJ's, I recommend you use another pair of trousers to make a pattern, jeans are usually too tight and it would uncomfortable to sleep. Or else you'd have to add a lot of wearing ease and it gets a little bit more advanced 😉

    • @christinabarnes1105
      @christinabarnes1105 Год назад

      @@RomyStanZakStudio so if I use just the waist and hip size and crotch on my jeans that fit me. Can I add on more ease from the crotch down? If so, can I widen the in and out seams all the way down?

    • @RomyStanZakStudio
      @RomyStanZakStudio  Год назад

      Yes it's possible 👍

    • @christinabarnes1105
      @christinabarnes1105 Год назад

      You say it is possible. Then how would you do it. Can u guide me please

    • @RomyStanZakStudio
      @RomyStanZakStudio  Год назад

      Hello ! I am sorry it's difficult to guide you just with a message, it would require me to film a tutorial since adding wearing ease to a trousers is quite advanced. Which is why I recommend you to make a pattern out of a pair of trousers that already have enough wearing ease. Happy sewing ! 😊

    question: why is the part from hip to waist drawn straight ? Our butt is supposedly curved and the front isn't exactly flat flat.

    • @RomyStanZakStudio
      @RomyStanZakStudio  Год назад

      Hello ! Can you give me a stamp mark of the measurement you are refering to ? You might be confusing the seat height and the crotch length.

    • @hounamao7140
      @hounamao7140 Год назад

      @@RomyStanZakStudio at 11:41, the lines drawn from the waist to the hip are straight, I was wondering why we don't make it more curvy. (the lines joining the top horizontal to the second horizontal one).

    • @RomyStanZakStudio
      @RomyStanZakStudio  Год назад

      These two lines that I traced in black are not the final shape of our piece. They are construction lines that we need to keep tracing the pattern. When you keep watching the tutorial, you can see the red lines that are curved. Hope that helps ☺️

    • @hounamao7140
      @hounamao7140 Год назад

      I mean the red lines. They are drawn straight. not perpendicular straight, but they are 2 straight lines. you draw them with the ruler at 9:45. I was wondering why we don't make them more curvy considering our body is.

    • @RomyStanZakStudio
      @RomyStanZakStudio  Год назад

      Oh I see ! There is no need to make it rounder, we are using knit fabric which is stretchy enough to follow the curves of the body. If you trace it rounder, it might not be snug enough, which is something we want for a legging. That being said, if you feel there is need to accomodate more curves, try to make is a tiny bit rounder and baste before sewing. Fittings are the best to see what works for one's body ! All the best !
