I am sorry to hear this about your parents.
A lot of people have the '80 concept of what autism is. They are not aware it is a spectrum.
It also has absolutely nothing to do with intelligence.
And, I think that if you managed to live this far into life, without special assistance, your parents did an awesome job raising you. Making them everything but a failure as parents.
Having a disorder or not doesn't change anything about that.
I am high-functioning myself (female, 41 years old got diagnosed 10 years ago), so feel free to reach out if you feel like it.

Loved the marriage advise and Craig dancing. The only time I saw what might have been Tony dancing was with his granddaughters at home “once”. The following reference was for one of your other videos I forgot where, but like your son Craig, it’s about Tony not wanting to give ANYTHING up. He seems to get attached to things as we do old memories and he doesn't want to let them go. It took us almost 6 years to convice Tony to get an iphone to replace a flip phones he had. We wanted to have a way to track him if he ever got lost. Never has gotten lost in 37 years yet, but we don't want to take the chance. He had over 250 VHS tapes and we have slowely been replacing them with blu ray and DVD with Tony’s approval. There seems to be a slight difference in the VHS version and a blu ray or dvd. Only Tony knows what that is though…haha, so doesn’rt want to give up the VHS version even when we get him the other version. Craig seems to collect his little stuffed toys and other small characters for his display. Tony doesn’t but he use to collect mostly books and VHS. We are slowly chipping away at the books and VHS. He wanted a Laser Disc player for many years so I finally found one and got some of the Disney Laser Disc movies. That was another way of getting rid of the VHS that will eventually go bad and stick together. The bad VHS is a meltdown I would never want tp put Tony or me and my wife though….haha.
I forgot to mention about Craig worried that he would have a hangover from soda at the wedding. It never ceases to amaze me how they pick up on the smallest conversation or in a cartoon and put that into their worries about themselves and life.
That sounds so much like Craig ! He used to collect the VHS tapes as well. He loved finding them at thrift shops. Which often led to meltdowns when they got stuck in his player. We moved them all to our new how almost 2 years ago. Craig never mentioned them so we decided to get rid of them. Sure enough a week later he was asking for them! But thankfully he was not upset about it. I also find it amazing how many things Craig picks up from cartoons and applies to his own life. Several years ago when we were in Florida we stopped at an orchard. Craig asked the owners if the apples were free range or grown in captivity. We almost died laughing. Our youngest son said that Craig had heard that on RUclips. Sure enough a year or so later I heard someone say that when he was watching a video lol

The thing about dancing Craig is you just have to have FUN and you did!! Also I second the person who said you were a great Mom. Just seeing some of the glimpses into what makes Craig meltdown such as the missing sock in one of the recent videos just realistically has to be very difficult to deal with as most of us just don't melt down like that and you come in and just talk so patiently to him and your voice is calm and soothing yet you are firm and direct as well. You ARE a fantastic Mother and I definitely hope that your channel grows and those parents who have children with Autism join and really learn from you. Many parents are likely often frustrated which cannot be good for them or their children. You are a fantastic ambassador for parents and Craig is a great ambassador for children. Keep it up!!

Also, about the peeps, they have tropical punch flavored ones and they are THE BEST. My son and I hit the stores early when they put out easter stuff, and we buy out all the tropical punch because they sell out right away. I was thinking Craig might like to try them!

I love peeps. My favorite way to eat them: Melt chocolate chips in the microwave, dip half (or the entire peep ☺️) in the chocolate, let it rest on parchment paper and harden in the fridge for a bit. Mmm mmm you will love them!
