Haruna's favorite band is Helloween the only two cover songs they ever did is Helloweens Eagle fly free and Judas Priests Painkiller both are amazing covers of course . old school metal has a long history in Japan there is a Japanese Metal band called Ningen Isu that has been doing old school Metal since the 80's and is still rocking out today Metal is very close to classical music in it's compositional complexity and almost all Japanese musicians start with classical training . Miyako the dank haired guitarist started out as a classical pianist then taught her self guitar as a challenge she is the main composer for Lovebites and you can often hear the classical influence in the songs she composes

Great choice, one of my top Lovebites favorites. Miyako is always animated playing this song and she looks so great playing that Dimebag-esque Dean. I would recommend also listening to the version of "Scream For Me" off their 'Live From Abyss' studio session DVD that Lovebites filmed during COVID. Its a more relaxed performance, has a great mix and the sweeps are a lot cleaner, especially that outro solo duel. I totally got what you were saying about discovering those thrash bands through college radio. I also had a friend in my neighborhood in Huber Heights who was a nationally ranked top 5 female bmxer at 14 and when there were meets in OH her mom would host some California kids who'd bring tapes of thrash and punk music that was new to us. One of the older kids we hung with grandparents had a farm near Bethel OH and we'd go out there to ride dirt bikes and jam and try to learn those songs in the barn. Those Cali kids were crazy! Great times!

Always love Lovebites Miho the bassist started the band after Destrose disbanded, bringing Haruna on Drums with her. Destrose produced a long list of bands an had a solid fan base but never took off. Recommend checking them out. Destrose Fennix is one of their better songs. But Aldious was the first all Female band to be successful in a big way. 9 studio albums, 9 Billboard top 100 albums, they literally have zero bad or even mediocre songs. Just to get you started check out Re:Peatedly , no music video, but will give you an idea. If you prefer a video I would recommend We Are official music video. And if prefer a live performance do Absolute live. Again no bad songs many genres in their Discography. No matter what you like for music, I could name a couple of songs for you. Z
