Thank you for the review. I have been using this tool for about one week. There are a few things worth mentioning:
1) Bit storage compartment. The tunnels through which the bits are inserted into the handle for storage have a molded internal "ring" design that holds the bits in place pretty tightly. The advantage is that the bits will not fall off the tunnels on their own. The disadvantage is that the bits may be a bit difficult to remove off the tunnels.
2) When sitting in the handle storage compartment, the back end of the bits sit deeper than the end of the handle, which means that the bits will not poke out into the palm of your hands.
3) The bits are 90mm long and can be replaced with 90mm long bits from other brands.
I only wish that there would be an option to purchase this tool without the bits.
These are all very good points to bring up. The idea of selling the body only so you can customize it more to your liking would be pretty sweet. Thanks John 👍🏻
I just got the 11 in 1. But I didnt know that you could use different brand 90 mm bits. That is pretty much a game changer because it allows you to customize it. I would definitely swap some of them out for the perfect combo when I need it.
Thanks for the review. Looks great but it is indeed disappointing that there are so many flathead bits and zero torx.
I ended up purchasing Milwaukee's compact ratcheting driver, which IMO has a better selection of bits that come with it.
They most have implemented your idea about the star heads. In the UK, they give you 2 star heads in the deal.
I dont use the stuff in the handle much. I actually like to use it at work to drive small sockets. We use lotsa 10mm and it's perfect for them.
we need it star head Phillip and straight screw bit to open boiler casing
Number 9 is the electrical wire bender
I have this and the only thing that drives me nuts is sometimes you have to get a knife or something to push the bit down out of the handle, they get stuck in there
I agree!
I usually like to keep one bit installed at all times and whenever I need to switch, I just use the head of the bit I'm about to swap out to push the one I need out of the handle.
Watched the 5min to see how to take out / secure the bit. Didn’t catch it. Anyone? Does it just sit there or do I lock it in somehow?
I was going to buy thus but the kobalt one was way better for me. The bit storage is easy to store and it feels way more durable.
That's why I'm here because I saw reviews that the Kobalt brand isn't very good
Put a dab of fair washing up liquid in the top of screwdriver compartment. Let it dribble down and they come out easy
Wow! This actually works! Thanks!
i guess in different parts of the world it will have different bits ...in the UK we don't have the square bits and Philips are not as popular as Pozi drive ...a quick google shows we have Bit Types: PH1 / PH2 / PZ1 / PZ2 / TX15 / TX20 / Slotted 0.8 x 5.5 mm
That’s interesting. I would have thought they it would all be the same.
@@PhillipBridgesReviews it would not sell in the UK with almost 1/2 the bits square ...never seen one here
nice i use mine around the house & where things need help with .
Got it! Love it!
Great review
The bit fall out of the screwdriver when in the use position
Alright you put me over the edge I went out and got one! I often use a ratcheting screwdriver and have had several
The only thing I don’t like about it is the way the bits don’t lock in. I also have the husky version and the bits fall out in the slot of my tool bag
Hopefully won’t have the same problem with this one
Hopefully it works out for you 🤞🏼
How is the screwdriver holding up?
It is very handy. I added one to my camera bag to have on the go.
@@PhillipBridgesReviews So it has not broken on you?
You could just use the removed bit to push the new bit out of the handle.
There's a wire stripper function and also there's a hole where you can loop a wire
That’s what I do makes rhe most sense
I just bought the stubby and 9 in 1 combo. One small thing I found was annoying was the stubby and 9 in 1, you have to turn the locking mechanism for ratcheting one way for the stubby and the opposite for the 9 in 1. Why wouldn't you make it so they function the same? 🤷♂️
Hmmm 🤔 great point.
Ahhh. I noticed the same. I thought mine was just defective..
My 9 in 1 won't even ratchet to loosen. Looks like it was defective from the get
The only confusion I have is, how is this 9 in 1? I only counted 8. What am I missing?
There is a Loop maker hole for wire. That’s where they get the 9th. 🤷🏻♂️ Kind of a stretch, but I have actually used it a few times installing outlets.
Phillip Bridges Thank You
Did you count the hex bit driver of not putting any bit in at all?
The one thing I don’t hear here, is the use of “torx” bit… not star head… cmon my guy 😂
Lol very true. 😉 Finally someone caught it. What’s the saying “Tomatoe, Tomato?” 🤷🏻♂️
It's a nice design, but the ratchet breaks easily leaving the tool utterly useless.
No star, it’s a no for me
Alan bits would have been vastly more practical than square...
